Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot - DLC Borderlands - PS3

This is the 2nd piece of DLC that came out for borderlands and it SUCKS!! What makes Borderlands fun and entertaining, complete with grinding, is the ability to level up your character, to collect loot and increase the proficiency of your weapons. This DLC pack strips all that away and just makes this a standard shooter without even a story to keep you going, "what happens next?"

You start out in the Underdome, which is obvious s homage to Mad Max Thunderdome which could have had some great story pokes and could have been entertaining, much like the last DLC.

Instead, there is no story. The first mission you get is "To Prove Yourself". So you have to fight 3 different arenas, each arena has 5 rounds with 5 waves in each round. So that's 25 waves for each 3 arenas for a total of 75 waves. You think this might be OK, but everything that made borderlands enjoyable they took out.

You get NO XP for killing enemies, your weapon proficiencies does not increase and enemies don't drop loot. Its just standard wave after wave after wave after wave of shooting enemies. The same enemies over and over again. Think of any game where your biggest complaint was killing things in the game got boring, a group of enemies enter, you kill them and repeat for 9 hrs. THAT is the premise of this DLC pack. Its boring as hell, if I was able to get XP and level up my weapons then maybe it be OK.

If that's not bad enough, after you do the 75 waves of the first 3 arena's. They then give you 3 more HARDER arenas, each with 20 rounds, 100 waves each for a total of 300 waves. It takes about an hr to do 5 rounds/25waves. I made the mistake of being at wave 45 and dieing and thinking,"I've had enough of this, I'm quitting. It doesn't say anything about warning if I quit I will start over....so I should be fine and pick up from where I left off"

NOPE, I had to start from Round 1, wave 1 when I started again. So if you enter a arena, you better have 4-5 hrs straight that you can blow on this crap. In total you are looking at 12-14 hrs in completing this droning task of shooting wave after wave of enemies.

Its boring, dull, you can't level up from enemies, you don't get loot, adding buddies to your game only makes the game ramp up the difficulty ten fold, it just takes away everything that was fun and gives you the bare bones.

WHO THE HELL THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA!! IS A MORON!! A F'ING MORON!!!! This is NOT fun, I don't recommend this DLC to anybody, if they left if off the game of the year edition, then its no loss. Lets play Mario, but instead of great gameplay, you get one level that you go from end to end jumping on the same mushrooms and turtles for 12 hrs. I'm speechless of how stupid this DLC is. STAY AWAY from this. I understand why they put a woman with big boobs on the cover. Its the only way to get people interested. BOOOOO!!

I did enjoy the music and the arena sounds, people shouting your name and loud roars from the crowd when head shots and group kills were cool. But hearing the same things shouted again and again, gets old fast.

Now That's Hardcore

The guy reminds me of someone where his buddies were daring him to go ask a question and make it look like your a retard and will give you all the money in our pockets, which came to $15.47 cents.
Who am I kidding, we all know he has no friends. But good job on Bono from U2 joining in on the Blizzcon panal.

The Zombie Island of Dr Ned - DLC Borderlands - PS3

I jumped right into the first DLC immediately after finishing the main story. The first adaptation takes you to a island that is filled with Zombies, but there is a story here of a Doc who likes to play with medication and all hell breaks loose.

You get whole new set pieces done in a style that sorta reminds me of a Tim Burtonesque feel but with a green glow overtone complete with pumpkins and twisted trees. It really looks good and feels great for the overall atmosphere of the DLC pack. The story is also well done and makes you want to figure out how all of this happened and who got turned into WereSkags and where do I find them to kill them.

Throw in few new bosses, a bunch of new locations new guns and items, new trophies and this is a great buy for $9.99. There is alot of content and your looking at 10 plus hrs to finish this add on. Or if you got the game of the year edition, you got it a great price.

If you played the original game and haven't tried any of the DLC, the The Zombie Island of Dr Ned is a fantastic start for trying out a DLC addon. I really enjoyed this one and honestly would have liked to seen it continue with more stories and locations and bosses. Being its also around Halloween, it just felt right to play. Shooting the brains out of zombies is always fun.

Kinect on the Home Shopping Network

This video is Gold, it is pure genius and I would love to do a audio commentary to go along with it, but alas I don't have the gear to do that. So here is a scripted OH My god, what the hell are you flapping your gums about write up. To be fair, I know the lady as no idea what she talking about but also to be fair - If you are going to try and peddle me your snake juice you damn well better know what you are selling.

I will refer to her as Dingbat, if you think its unfair to call her a Dingbat because she doesn't know all the details. THEN ITS HER JOB TO FIND OUT ALL THE DETAILS AND BE A WELL INFORMED CONSUMER!!! GAWD!

1)She went to facebook and told all her family and friends about a product she knows nothing about. Dingbat, "Hey guys, buy this ass cream, it will make your ass look 20 years younger. What's that? Of course we tested it out....on rats and donkeys!"

2)Dingbat,"If you haven't heard of this, gamers KNOW all about it"
That's right Ms Dingbat, we have heard all about it. That's why we aren't paying $429.95 for it. That's why we won't be lining up outside freezing our assses of trying to get one. SMART gamers will wait for the reviews to come in and if the news is great then maybe you will see some of us getting it.

3) Dingbat,"Its not available to anyone" That is also correct Ms Dingbat, not even the reviewers have copies to test to help the consumer make a competent decision on whether they want to invest in a well crafted piece of tech or the next doorstop.

4)Dingbat," People are going to line up to get this thing on Nov 4th"
Correction,Uninformed naive ignorant commercially seduced Wii Sport Owners will line up to get this thing.

5)Dingbat,"You can Access your facebook and Netflix"
Facebook you say?? Yup, expect alot of confused people calling Xbox live support wondering why they can't access facebook or Netflix after their 1 month free trial expires. Infact I expect calls from people trying to set up their 1 month free trial to begin with, let alone continue it while not realizing it cost money.

6)Dingbat,"OMG, Look Out Corey" Corey doesn't have a controller, the madness that is happening in front of her is too much for her to comprehend.

7)Dingbat,"One person on the Rafter"????WTF is a RAFTER!!??Is that like a boatER or carER?

8)Dingbat,"Look at my hands up!! Waaavvee!!WOOOOooooooo"
Good lord do i have to watch the whole thing?

9)At this point Dingbat is playing and another guy jumps back into screen with her to join in on her game. But nothing happens, his avatar doesn't appear, but he continues to jump and wave like a moron. Great showing of new tech guys, really selling me here!

10) Dingbat,"Age 80 can get involed" Jump grandma, God Dammit, I said JUMP!! Now knife that guy in the back and now grenade those mofo's overthere, rrraaaaggggghhhhh

11)Dingbat,"Xbox is beyond games aswell" Really Dumbass?! We knew that on Launch day. Its only Dumbasses like yourself that don't know that gaming consoles are used for more than just games.

12)If she keeps saying,"Its going to be the most sought after anticipated game" (with 500 million in advertising behind it) makes its true. There isn't hamsters in my pants, there isn't hamsters in my pants.

13)Dingbat,"Im buying it myself today" Proving you are a complete ill informed Moron!!

14)Dingbat,"You have to understand the world of Xbox" Please do enlighten me, me not know where tooth is, me chew with eyelids and poop from me nostril...

15)Dingbat,"You get 1 month Gold membership" Oh the phonecalls to Xbox live support is going to busy this holiday season.

16)Dingbat,"All you have to do is talk to it and it will do what you want. You say "Xbox Kinect-Netflix"" AAAAANNNNNNGGG, wrong, all you have to say is Xbox. Followed by,"WORK DAMNIT...I SAID WORK!!!!"

17)Dingbat,"If you are confused by all those buttons on a controller, you can throw it away" Oh thank you o wise one. My fingers were getting tired from all those presses of A and B. After Dance Part I will play some Halo...oh wait. I threw my controller away....BUT YOU SAID IT WAS OK!!!"

18)Dingbat,"Here is Barb, she is a 55 year old woman" Well then, may I call you Barb or Barbera? Do you think that Kinect will give Halo players a better advantage against players using the standard controller while playing online?"

19)Dingbat,"We have a Holiday extended return policy" This should be interesting.

20)Dingbat,"Its actually tracking my body with infrared technology used by the military" So what!!, my frying pan uses the same heat resistant technology that NASA uses.

21)Dingbat,"Welcome to the future - TODAY!!!"
Is this over yet!!?

22)Dingbat,"Its all over the news already"
Really, really?? Are they talking about how Microsoft is pushing for one of the most expensive marketing campaigns in video game history and how this one product they are promoting they are refusing to give game reviewers copy's to test so they can put their 2 cents in AND how they send out letters from their lawyers to game sites that even make fun(parody) their product to remove all material pertaining to the Kinect? Any of that ringing a bell there for ya darlin?

23)Dingbat,"I"m the only host that is selling it" . That's because you are an idiot, I keep telling you, but ur not listening.

24) Dingbat," It comes with a controller, but you don't need it" Any gamer knows YOU DO TOO NEED IT YOU STUPID DIT!! Unless you are going to play nothing but Kinect games, then please feel free to send me all those controllers your going to throw away.

25)Dingbat,"You get a Gamefly membership, where you can download games right to your system" This is where a guy cuts her off and says,"They will deliver games to your mail"
Dingbat is an idiot, this Marlena, Marlane, Marbles. I only hope I can play COD Modern Warfare in heels someday.

26)Dingbat,"It has the fastest, wireless - the fastest wireless....built in" Who told you this, was it the same guy who said to throw your controller away?

27)Then it is like she forgot what shes been looking at this whole time. Dingbat,"Notice when Chris jumps, his avatar jumps?!" Is your brain even in your skull right now?

28)Sold out, 1200 units. The number of people like Dingbat.

Now, I'm not shitting on Xbox Kinect here, so don't go ranting and raving about that. This is totally the morons at the HSN and Microsoft. They want to sell me a piece of hardware and push it down my throat with nothing more than pictures of Kinect on my box of Wheaties and telling me its gonna be HOT, then you sir deserve a swift kick to the gonads. Man up and give the piece of hardware to tester and let the real gamers tell it like it is.

I personally hope I am wrong and it is the best thing since sliced bread, but the evidence just doesn't add up.

AAAHH Crap! and I Just Cleaned These Pants!

Star Trek Infinite Space trailer. Good lord this looks good, well the cinematic trailer looks good. I LOVE space shooters, the jedi starships games, the X-wings, Wing Commander, etc. I would have liked to see some game footage and more details. But this teaser is great!!

BorderLands: Game of the Year Edition - PS3

I was really interested in playing this game when it first came out but like all the games I play there just wasn't any time to get to it. When the game of the year edition came out with all the DLC then I had to get it this time around.

I've played this game once before with a friend(Matt) where we played co-op, Then played the single player when I got the game for myself and had two different experiences. Not having played the game and jumping right into Co-op I did enjoy the game to a point then it just seemed repetitive and at some point it got really hard, dieing every 5 min.

After having purchased it, I jumped into the single player campaign and thought it would be similar but felt that it was different. I enjoyed it more, perhaps because it was at my own poke around pace ,I really don't know. But I really really enjoyed the single player portion.

You get 4 classes to choose from each with its own skill tree and weapon preferences. But they can all use any weapon you want. Its just that the items you fund that buffer your character will usually buffer that characters class weapon of choice. The Hunter with Sniper Rifle, Phasewalker with SMG, Soldier with Rifle and Brick who likes to punch stuff. (In a game where guns are king a guy who punches does stand out.)

I love the style of the game with a great gritty cell shading. The game stands out as a FPS style but with a RPG core. You level up with a skill tree and gear to ever improve your character. So when it comes to killing enemies it is not STAT based to see if your bullets hit. Your FPS skills are needed to land the shots, but your skills affect what will happen when your bullets hit, elemental damage, stat effects, etc.

At times it feels like a Diablo game turned into a FPS/RPG which is fine by me. There is a lot of loot and upgrades for gear and weapons are everywhere which can probable slow down the pace of the game for some FPShooters when you are stopping after every encounter to check all the loot you just picked up. But this kind of thing is standard for dungeon hunter players.

I think its a great mix of FPS and RPG. Some say its akin to a MMO online, but having never played a MMO I can't compare.

The game clocks in at 50-60 hrs with each DLC pack adding another 8-12 hrs of gameplay. The value in this game is fantastic. I had a great time playing it and jumped online with my brother a couple of times to get a online feel for it. It was pretty fun but online I didn't feel the need to item hunt but rather move on to the next quest.

I finished the single player campaign and now its off to play the DLC and after that some online co-op. This game is great and if you are looking to play it all then be prepared to put in 80-100 hrs to finish it all, DLC included. I finished the game and I couldn't wait to start the DLC packs, unlike fallout 3 where I didn't want to touch the DLC, I had my fill.

If you never played the game, then the game of the year edition is to one to get.

Duke Nukem Early Access Demo Giveaway

I picked up game of the year edition of Borderlands and it comes with a code to have early access to the Duke Nukem Demo. This is the kind of stuff that Playstation Plus users have access too. For me personally, I really don't care about playing a demo before everyone else is able to play it.

Your talking to a guy who waits a whole year for the complete season of a television show to come out on DVD before watching. So waiting a week, 2 weeks, a month to play a demo is no big deal.

I also know that there are people who do enjoy that kind of thing. So I have this early access code for the PS3 to play Duke Nukem. If you are interested in having this code to get yourself some early access. All you have to do is leave a comment. In a couple of weeks, depending on how many entries. I'll draw the names from a hat and choose the winner and I will email you the code.

Good luck!

BattleField Bad Company 2 - Vietnam Pack

The details for the new upgrade of the battlefield Vietnam pack have arrived.

The expansion pack will be launching with 4 distinct new maps that will be playable on all 4 multiplayer game modes. There are 15 "new" Vietnam-era weapons along with 6 new vehicles including the HUEY!! Along with 10 new achievements/trophies.

The Expansion pack is integrated with the full game so you will continue to rank up and unlock achievements and badges no matter what war you choose to participate in.

One of my personal favorites is the fact that there is over 2 hours of sound tracks, 8 radio stations, 49 songs ( like Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Fortunate Son" and Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries) in total from the 60's and 70's that players can rock out to while in a vehicle.

It will be priced at $14.99 which I think is reasonable, considering it is a whole new face lift, just not more maps. Consider this when you compare it too the COD Modern Warfare 2 Map pack of the same price upon release. COD had 3 new maps and 2 old reused maps and no new in-game content (achievements/trophies, perks, guns and everything else was unaltered for the same price.

Doesn't that make anyone raise their eyebrows?? I know mine are trying to fly off my forehead.

What Are You Doing Microsoft?!

This just makes my brain hurt...it can't be good news. It could be nothing, but USUALLY when something isn't released to the critics, be it movies or games early. It usually means that there is a sub par product and a company doesn't want bad reviews to affect sales. So they rely on marketing and ignorance to push a product rather that the quality.

It seems that Microsoft may, not just biting the bullet but eating the damn thing here when it comes to to Kinects. But they are going after the casual gamer here, the family, elderly who bought a Wii who own one just for its Wii sports.

Only recently I was visiting a friend who told me they own a Wii that they that rarely play and when they do, its only the bowling and these are the casual gamers that Microsoft are hoping to take advantage of. Here is the full article by gamrconnect.

Microsoft is attempting to stop reviews of Kinect from surfacing before the controller is released – which many are taking as a sign Microsoft is trying to cover up a sub-standard product.

The gaming press complains about not being sent review copies:

Kinect is Microsoft’s biggest push for the Xbox gaming division to date. The Xbox division could sink or swim depending on the success of the device. However, in an unusual move the company has been hesitant to send out the device for review.

Many journalists in the gaming industry have complained about Microsof
t’s hesitation to send the Kinect and any of its software offerings for review. This is actually something that has been actively talked about on game press forums.

In addition the publisher has also placed an embargo on posting any sort of review for the device prior to launch. Microsoft’s internal anti piracy investigation group has also issued a take-down notice to Destructoid, who incidentally made fun of the Kinect’s new commercials.

The fact that Microsoft is being so sensitive about any sort of criticism to
wards the device is a major concern. Just like how film studios won’t hold a pre-screening for movies that is expected to tank, the video game industry operates exactly the same way.

[...]

Typically its a very bad sign when publishers do this as it means that there is something wrong and the company wants to rely on ignorance and marketing rather than letting the public find out early. I am not saying this is the case for the Kinect, but it is very concerning nevertheless.

Here is what Andy McNamara, editor-in-chief of Gamer Informer recently tweeted (read from bottom up):(Click to enlarge)

My 16th Platinum - Starwars Clonewars : Republic Hereos

Overall I didn't like this game, but getting the regular trophies I was able to do on my first play through. But the game wasn't good enough to go through again to get the rest so I just gave up on it.

That is until Rowan(Ian) asked how many do you have left to get befor you get the platinum and I said "4" . So Ian offered to help get the last 4 which were all co-op related, finish the game with another player and with certain characters. We did it using speed runs and try and make it through a level in under 5 min.

If the controls weren't so screwy it be easy, but they are so unrefined that it makes it very annoying in places. I'm not proud of this platinum, the game is shitty and there was no sense of accomplishment, but I thank Ian for offering his help all the same. I've mailed youe portion of the platinum to you.

Some guy makes his NES controller rumble

You can read more here I just wanted to post my thoughts on this one.

I loves it! At first I was like how stupid but just imagine how much more fun Super Mario Bros will be when you get a little rumble when you curb stomp a goomba. Or how about a super rumble for the ladies when Mega-man gets a new power? I'm in! All-in!

Darkstalkers Art

Darkstalkers is the next fighting game that needs to be reinvented. Its a great franchise I would like to see it on next gen systems. So here's some fan art from the series.

No Medal of Honor For Me...Sigh

I was super excited for Medal of Honor this week, all the previews looked great and I really had this game hyped up, which... can be a bad thing.

But like all games I buy, I normally read/watch game reviews from several game sites/magazines before I purchase it. Just to get an idea of what the gaming world thinks of the game.

What I found was a market that really wasn't jumping on the Medal of Honor band wagon. Gripes, bugs, balance, frame rate, dull, repetitive. A wide variety of negative reviews, but something wasn't right.

From what I got from all the sites, they all couldn't agree on what was the bad thing in the game. One site said the single player campaign was great with a solid story and another site said that it had a weak campaign with a rehashed story. The graphics looked great while another said the graphics doesn't stand up to others games.

The multiplayer will be over before you know it compared to, the multiplayer will keep you busy for a long time. Lots of option, to very few options.

The game is 4 hrs long, the game is 7 hrs long.

Is everyone on crack?? Make up your fucking minds!! So short of all the complaints that they can't seem to agree upon, the overall census is that,"Its a good game, not great but by no means bad"

For me that doesn't sit too well. I don't have the money to buy a boat load of games, so I have to make a purchase that I feel will be good about and there are other games out there that I rather play than some mediocre game.

I'm sure the game is fine and stop comparing it too Battlefield and COD and take it for what it is. A FPS war shooter. Unfortunately with all this nonsense, it knocks this game down a few notches on my must play games.

So instead of getting MOH I picked up game of the year editions Borderlands and Uncharted 2. Great price for what you are getting. Medal of Honor will have to wait, perhaps for a game of the year edition?

FireFall Update

So after seeing this video I had to go look up more info about this game. Here is what I found out so far.

General:
- Team based Action Shooter
- Open world, persistent game
- The game is a Cooperative Teambased Shooter, not an MMO
- F2P game with micro-transactions/cash shop
- The game will be released world wide
- Large, streaming world
- The game is an action oriented shooter with some MMO and other genre elements mixed in.
- Obvious Influence from Starship Troopers, Planetside, Tribes.
- Game is physics and skill based, twitch based game
- Game will be accessible to all, however, it won’t reduce the challenge
- There will be PvE as well as PvP
- The Wiki Wacker is the official drink of Firefall
- They are planning to release Firefall at the end of 2011.
- It will be available online for download and play for absolutely free.
- No subscription to play
- How they plan to make money on the game: plan to offer a marketplace for Firefall that will offer players items to enhance their gaming experience.
Combat:
- Assault, Medic archetype are annonced, there will be other Battleframes later, in the video there are packs for the Recon and Robotics, two classes that have yet to be announced.
- No dice roll for attacks, it’s pure shooter mechanics
- Primary weapon: Assault Rifle: Infinite Ammo, can be upgraded
- Primary weapon: Plasma gun, AoE based attack, can be upgraded
- Primary weapon: Sniper Rifle (what looks to be) in the video, unsure about ammo, probably can be upgraded
- All guns have limited ammo excluding the Assault Rifle which is infinite ammo
- Crater: AoE aerial-based attack
- All weapons, armour can be upgraded with a module based system
- Guns have recoil
- Medics have a healing gun, which looks like a stream of healing, equivalent to Team Fortress 2 medic gun.
- Medics have a healing grenades as alt-fire
- Loot drops from monsters on death and can be picked up (not sure on the rolling system )
- You can upgrade your backpack which controls your abilities and some guns.
- Loot is currently FFA and only your team can see it, no rolling system in yet
- There is no, and will be no cover system in Firefall, it's Run n' Gun
- Jetpacks are energy based. much like in Global Agenda and Tribes
- There are two separate hitboxes (i.e head, body), headshots do bonus damage
- Bullets may be affected by gravity, they are still working on it to decide what is better
- There is class armour and not specific types of armour, it can all be customized with modules to adjust stats
- You can change your class in the player hub, however, your level applies to one battleframe
- Thumpers attract enemies because they make a lot of noise
- Ability: Shockwave - A (what looks like) a 180 degree frontal attack, the power seems to diminish as it moves along. IT is charged by the backpack and seems to take 3 to 5 seconds to charge, whether it must be fully charged to be used or can be used in shorter, but weaker bursts is unknown.
- Equipment??: There looks to be a sort of glider attachment in the video, whether that is a part of the backpack or a form of transportation via NPCs, I don't know.
- Vehicle: There is a armoured vehicle in the recruitment video (00:08 to 00:10) whether it is a combat oriented vehicle is unknown and the name of the vehicle is unknown.
- Weapons: We now know that currently there is a weapon stock melee attack
- There is in combat and out of combat sprinting
- Battleframes have signature weapons, i.e. the Plasma Cannon is the signature weapon of the Assault class.
- Vehicles are connected to Army 'Tech Trees' and can be called down
- All weapons have an alt-fire mode, or at least a zoom in/aim
- Module: Salvaged/Epic Rate of Fire Module, perhaps it increases the rate of fire and/or reloading time? We now know a module can modify one or both these things.
- Module: Regeneration Module, perhaps it can allow for in combat regeneration or increased passive regeneration
- Module: Epic Speed Module, perhaps it boosts running speed
Gameplay:
- There is a party system, no confirmation on a raid system yet
- Dynamic events, where things will happen with/without player intervention
- Towns can be under siege by the Chosen, it happens during random times and may or may not happen if other events around the world occur.
- Towns can be taken by the NPC faction if players don’t defend it, but can be retaken with missions.
- Thumper mission: Mining resource called ‘Crystite’ which allows of updating of weapons, etc. It can be dropped anywhere in the world.
- Dredge: One of the player hubs.
- ‘Melding Titan’ is a large boss type mob who can attack cities, normal guns do not work in killing it, you must use turrets and so on to inflict damage.
- There is collision detection
- Equipment changes character appearance.
- Two dropdown types shown in the video: Request Support from Your Army, Calls down a Thumper for Mining Operations
- There are player owned vehicles, one noted so far is the hover bike in the video.
- There are passive NPC mobs
- There are mountable weapons (i.e. Cannon, etc), whether they can be player built or not is unsure
- Most likely there will be a day and night cycle

There is alot of info out there apparently, click here to go directly to their website and sign up for the beta. So it looks to be PC only currently, which is nothing wrong with that.

FireFall MMO

This is apparently made by Ex creators of WOW and rumored to be free and its the first I ever seen of it. I think it looks great and can't wait to hear more about it.

New X-men Game

Called X-men Destiny and really doesn't give any indication what the game is about. So its anyone's guess at this point. I am just excited that its not based off some movie tie in.

God Damnit, Activision!!! REallly?!! Screw you in the pants hole!!

Demo Day

Had to catch up on all the demos that came out over the past 3 weeks. So lets begin this demotastic dive.

Deadliest Warrior
This is obviously geared towards the 14-21 year old males who love the show Manswers on Spike. This game is what you would expect based off a testosterone hype TV show. The graphics are crappy, the blood splatter is downright silly, Its looks like they got into a paint fight. The moves are cheap as hell and I can see spending any time with this game someone could spam a certain move over and over while playing online and just make this game no fun. Its already no fun, this game ...I don't see the appeal. Try the demo and toss it in the bin.

Alien Breed:Impact I don't know if this is the same Alien Breed from Steam. On there it was free for a while and then it was $4. So I say try the demo, if you like it and if you have a PC get it on steam for half the cost. I really enjoyed this top down shooter, it looks great, its fun and the first thing that came to min was, "It looks ten times better than Starwars the clone wars, republic heroes" I really enjoyed this little game and I may pick it up. Which version, Steam, PS3 is still unknown.

Castlevania-Lords of Shadow
I want this game, if there ever was a castlevania game to own. Then this game is it. I did plan on getting it, but then I realized that Medal of Honor and Starwars Force Unleashed 2 was coming out in the same month and I can't afford 3 full priced games in 1 month. So this one will have to sit back and wait. Really fun, very God of Waresque.

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light
Another top down shooter but with puzzles and spelunking(cave diving) added. It was a really fun game with bullets and spears and jumping and swinging. The only thing is that I am not a Lara Croft/Tomb raider fan. I never was, I just wasn't a fan of the franchise. Doesn't mean that this is a bad game in anyway, it just doesn't tickle my fancy. To make it a impulse buy $14.99 doesn't do it for me.

Swords and Soldiers
This was really surprising. Its a RTS of sorts, but its a side scroller. I have never seen a game like this. My only guess is that its like Plants Vs Zombies, but I have never played that either, I can only compare it from what I read and videos. But this was really fun, it reminded me alot of pixeljunk monsters in regards to pick up and play and have a great time. This is one that I seriously would like to get at some point. And at $9.99 it seems well worth the money.

My Sims - Sky Heroes
Think Modnation Racers but Airplanes. I literally spent 25 min creating my character and my plane, there were alot of options in the demo. So I can only imagine that the full game will have a ton more and I enjoy making my own little me in almost any game. Once you get into play, YUP!! Its a dog fighter and racer with planes. It was really fun and cute, a great game for you and your kids. I can't see anything wrong with this title. Its just as fun as any other racer game out their. Fun for the whole family.

Blade Kitten
This game is everything that I hate about Anime. I'm a girl but I have cat ears and tail coming outta my ass and big floaty sword that I can command with my mind? my tech gear? Telekinesis? her farts? I don't know and it doesn't tell you why because like all crazy games like this you have to take alot of it for face value and accept it. Its weird cause this game even though its a side scroller, it made me sick. I don't know if its the psychedelic colors or camera shifts, but it made me nauseated. I didn't like this game on any level, the look, the feel,...booo.. I don't like anime. (Well that's not true..I like a small portion of anime. Hate 60% Ok 20% Like10% Really Like 8% Love 2%)

Enslaved
This is a game that just doesn't do it for me. It reminds me of Prince of Persia. The game looks great, it plays well, there's really nothing bad I can say about it. It just doesn't do it for me. It be unfair for me to even say anything about this game. Go play the demo and decided for yourself, you will either like it, love it or like me and just pass on it. AGAIN, doesn't mean its a bad game, it just doesn't do anything for me.

Worms 2 - Armageddon
I haven't played a worms games in years and jumping into this one it felt like I didn't miss much. Its still worms but with more options to kill your opponent. It works on a formula if its not broke don't mess with it. Its great to play with yourself to get used to the new weapons but it was made to play against people online. That's where this game gets interesting. Its a nice touch up job and you know what you are getting into with this title.

There we go for some nice demos, Castlevania and Alien Breed did the sell for me. I would really like to own both those games based of the demo alone. Next Demo day is gonna be all sports games.

Captain America Gets His Own Game

Well this is coming out (of course) when the movie releases next year but we are told that this one isn't based off the movie. Its his own stand alone movie, new story etc with only the time period that the movie is based on being shared.

Do I have high hopes for this game?!!..Hell No, I fully expect this game to be a over priced piece of turd. You can only cry wolf so many times when the consumers hear "Movie" games followed by a loud groan.

Its already not sounding very promising. For one, they say that they have a great writer on board to help make a great narrative to make it more compelling for the gamers and fans. But we already know that they brought in one of the better Iron man writers for the Iron man games and looked how well they turned out. Good writing can't save a game alone, its an important part, but if a game is broken, its broken.

Next, its done by Sega. Now I have a soft spot for Sega but by god its about time they turned their act around. They made both of the Iron man Games and they were laughable bad. Now they are making Captain America with a Thor one in the works.

Its not looking very good. We all know the track record of games that get released with their movie counterpart. Prepare yourself for mediocrity or dismal gameplay or both.
