This one has been on my list of unfinished games and I decided to get rid of it... I mean finish it. Blake has already reviewed it thoroughly -->> here <<-- on the blog. But my difference is I'm not a comic book fan so I have a different sppreciation. And I forced myself to sludge through it ... I mean finished it dammit, so I'll review it! ;)
I found it boring, plainly. I am not a fan of top-down gaming for one. The models and levels look fine, but I want to see them close-up other then in cutscenes damnit! That's a large part of the frustration.
I played it on casual, which in essence means I never die and all the leveling up is automatic. Why did I choose that? Because I didn't care! Just wanted to get it done.
So the experience has been reduced to button mashing. Even through the dialogue arcs. I like stories usually, but this one just became tedious at some point. I started out reading all the dialogue, until I realised it didn't really matter in the end.
The level variety is acceptable (and probably larger if you play from the other faction, which I will NOT be doing) and I did enjoy going around busting as much stuff as I could.
The enemies are repetitive and similar, except for the bosses which are Marvel superheroes, which I liked discovering, but that ultimately just resumed to button mashing.
The only thing I really liked was Deadpool, because he was funny and I used him through the entire game as soon as he was available. The others seemed all similar to me. And also Stan Lee's cameo made me both chuckle and groan.
Anyway, one more game scratched off the list. It was an okay game, for someone who doesn't care very much for the genre.
Moving on!

PS3 can do EVERYTHING!
If the commercial is really telling the truth about the PS3, then this video would be technically true...

Batman Arkham Asylum - PS3
I'm sure you've all heard from everyone and every thing, just how good batman is. With the odd site here and there being really nit picky over things that they don't like about it. So if you want a review of the game, go to any game site and get it.I'm gonna keep it short and simple. THIS GAME IS GOOMBLEGARBLE-DINGLELY-FIIGLEFART-AWERADSOM-OOOOOOOOO!!
Its worth a full price game, so if you didn't get it during the sale. Don't feel bad, its worth every penny! Another incentive, if you get it for the PS3, you can play has the Joker! That alone is enough weight to buy the PS3 version over the 360. But I'm sure down the road they will offer it to Xbox Live, maybe.
I'm not gonna say anything about how the game plays or what is good and bad. BAD, I can't think of anything. Maybe I'm gonna have some trying times trying to do the challenge missions or beating it on hard. But a little time and practice should fix that right up. This is possibly the best game I've played since Killzone 2 was released.

They did a great job of making you feel like Batman, its fantastic. The same way you felt when you swung through the city for the first time has Spiderman. This is the same thing. This is a must have game for any console. You don't have to be a fan of Batman to enjoy this title. Its a must have.

GhostBusters: The Video Game - PS3
GhostBusters! Is it good? .................Yes!Lately I have been noticing that I have been getting games just based on the fact that, "THIS" is the next new game that is a must play for gamers. I mean when I first saw killzone 2, I didn't want it. I got it because all the rave about it, that its a MUST play game. Now Infamous and Prototype are today's big games. But you know what, I am just not interested in playing them. So I'm not going to get it just because its the next big game that's out this month.
Unlike Ghostbusters, that I got because I was really looking forward to it, ever since I heard about it years ago. I really wanted this game and couldn't wait to play it. Its these types of games that I really enjoy and will keep me busy until the next game comes out that I want to play.
What can I say about Ghostbusters to make it short and sweet. To the average gamer, this is just another shooter but your weapons are proton packs and the enemies are mostly ghost. Really nothing spectacular about it. BUT, for a GHOSTBUSTERS FAN!!.. holy shit, its a shooter where your weapon is a proton pack that you can use to trap ghost. HOLY COW!!

Added the bonus of the entire cast of the movie have come back to lend their voice talent to the game. Written by Harold Ramis and Dan Akroyd which say this is their version of Ghostbusters 3. Coupled with all the original ghost and places from the original film, running around the library, the hotel, makes this a MUST HAVE for Ghostbuster fans.
The first time you get to shoot the proton pack and capture a ghost and wrangle them into the trap....WOW!!..I don't have anything bad to say about it, its just feels right, very well done. If they had a bonus level where all you had to do was wrangle ghost, I think I would be very happy.

There are certain things in games that one looks forward to doing when done well. Mine were being able to ignite and turn off a lightsaber for the first time. Extracting Wolverines Claws, in and out, in and out, transforming from a car to a robot and firing a proton gun. There is just something very satisfying when blasting a neutron beam across the room.
I don't want to spoil anything for anyone who hasn't played the game , just that, IF you are a fan of Ghostbusters, then this is a MUST play. If not, then...sure, you may enjoy the 8 hrs you get from this.

I was also surprised that it has multiplayer co-op. But once you play it, its not really co-op. If you are competing against other people online, ITS NOT CO-OP!! Most of the trophies for online have to do with coming in first in a bunch of challenges, but in order to do that, you are competing with 4 other people online to see who can trap the most ghost, even if it means stealing a wrangled ghost from another teammate.
It was my 3rd match online and I came across 2 assholes in this one particular game. The guy who I choose to play has was Winston. Well, let the racial and assholery commence. It was one of the worst experiences I had online is a super long while. Not the gameplay, just these 2 assholes who I would say were probable between the ages of 16-20 and male. They didn't shut the fuck up, Fag this, N****ER that, your mother, your sister, you name it and they were just throwing out some of the most abusive stuff that you hear about when playing online. It was horrible, I finished out the match, and said "You assholes are the reason that online gaming gets a bad name"

I turned off the game and didn't play it for 2 days, it left that bad a taste with me. I don't like that sorta shit, fun and games sure, but when you are assholes just to be assholes, It's then, that I don't mind running you down in the middle of street and then stopping to make sure my tires didn't get punctured from your bones. But these things happen online, and the only advice I can give, is don't talk back and just quit the game. You can make a abuse report, but does it even matter?!
Anywho, besides all that shenanigans, The game is a great game. More so for me, because I am a super fan of Ghostbusters. I'll say it again, if you are a fan, GET THIS!!!!
9/10
The trailer is even more of a movie trailer than a video game.

X-men Origins - Wolverine - PS3
Blarrgh, so I just finished this game. I will probable do 2 post for this. One where I talk about the game, the other , "Getting all your Trophies"As Movie games go, this one isn't that bad. I must say that I really enjoyed my "FIRST" play through of the game. I read the reviews and listened to the podcast about this game before I went out and got it. And I must say, that I think most (not all)of the negativity about this game was not warranted.
One complaint was," It didn't bring anything new to the table, it was a mish-mash of God of War and some other game I can't remember."
My response, Why is that a bad thing?!, does every game you play have to be ground breaking in order for it to be fun or even a good game?! Some nerd shouting," I can't stand games that are like games I played last week!!"pfft!! Get over it, don't be so damn anal!!
Second complaint comes from the the 1 up podcast. They say that the violence is too over the top and doesn't add anything to the game, infact, its TOO much!! That they don't think Wolverine is that violent.
My response, I love the violence that is wolverine. I think they hit the nail on the head with Wolverine. In the 90's, in his books, sheesh, he gut his own mother if she got in his way during one of his berserker rages. That was the point of wolverine, he's a great fighter to have on your team, but let him loose and his just has likely to turn on you in the heat of battle. IT was only later that they started giving him...what's that called again...oh yeah...Feeeeelings!!
So screw the 1up guys on that, maybe wolverine should have talked his problems out with the machete men.

Story-
I was disappointed that the game didn't take the liberty to do their own story line, something separate from the movie. Instead you get a crappy movie plot shoved into little cut scenes. Its like getting forced fed until your gaggin on all the one liners and campy dialogue. All the little bits of dialogue that got a laugh in the movie, or big superheroey lines were rehashed in this game, with the subtle of a sledgehammer to the head.
Spoiler Alert!!!
To be fair, they did mix it up a bit. I mean the overall plot of the movie is in the game, but they took liberties of adding bits. Their trip through the jungle with flash backs. So at one point you get to be in a Sentinel factory and fight a giant Sentinel . Easily the coolest looking battle in the game.
You get to see "Ravens" take on, Nightcrawler. Who is his daddy?!!..well, its some guy from the Black eye peas and Mystique. Wanna know what Mystique finds attractive?!!.....When people don't kill her. Its a hard life she lives, everyone trying to kill her. Then one day, some teleporting Pop star comes by, and say,"baby, I ain't gonna shoot you today, infact, I think we should have babies." Its all very silly. End Spoiler

Gameplay -
I don't want to make this long winded, I liked it. Yes, its has elements of the battle system from God of war, and it was fun. I enjoyed lunging to enemies, ripping off arms and beating some dingbat to death with it. It was very enjoyable. In my first playthrough, I didn't get bored at all killing the baddies. There was a wide variety of ways to kill them and they all had different animations for their deaths, well done. Lunge, stab, jump into the air and lunge back down, stab, pick em up and and stab him in the gut with both claws and rip em into. See, great stuff.

Look-
It had alot of frames dropping. Almost every time a new area came in, or the camera switched to close up of a fight, the characters, BG, would all be smooth, and then the textures would pop in over them. One minute you would be looking at wall, its all grey smooth, then its all textured up. Same for characters. Now this wasn't a bad thing, just annoying The cutscenes on the other hand, (the rendered ones) were awesome. The hair, the skin, the lighting was fantastic.
Controls-
I have no complaint. Nothing to say, they worked. Its not too often that a game has controls so awful that it just makes it not fun to play a game. I'm still baffled over RE5, I picked that up and shheesh. Good game or not, the controls are the worst I've EVER played on ANY game. That's right, I said it, ANY GAME!!!
Over all there were some really silly things that made me laugh throughout the game.
1)The Magic Shirt - Wolverine starts the game in his white t-shirt and has he takes damage, his shirt gets shot and cut up till there's nothing left. He's shirtless, that's what I noticed while playing. But what I didn't know, was .....good god, Wolverine can heal his shirt back on...WOW....seriously, has you take damage on your naked torso, he will heal parts of his shirt back on, its pretty funny.

2)Black Man Hand - At some point in the game, wolverine needs the hand print of some person to get through to the next area. He finds the guy and he's a black scientist. He then cuts this dudes hand off and we go back to the door and he puts the hand on the scanner, but wait. Didn't we just chop a black guys hand off?!!..so why the hell is their a white guys hand being used on the scanner. Does he have a pocket full of human hands lying around for just such an occasion.???
3) Gambit's Mullet - If you are going to make a character and base it off a movie character. Then why the god did you feel it was necessary to give him a mullet.? I just about shit my pants when I saw Gambit and his "Ultimate Warrior" Hair-Do. "Mon fere" this and "Mon Fere" that, he was a joke in this game.

So with all that said, I enjoyed the game. It was plain and simple fun. Nothing spectacular, nothing horrible. What was good was great and what was bad was bearable. Like I said, I will do another one , describing how to get your platinum trophy. God, that's when this game starts to hurt.
7/10
This is a cool ad, but it would have been better if you saw wolverines claws being used. I mean why the hell did he use his head to bang his way out of the cage??!!

Burn Zombie Burn - PSN
I was looking for something new to download from the PSN store. Something that you can play for 15-20 min, have a good time and move on. The only thing I don't like about the PSN store, is that there are very few previews of the games that you can buy. So all you can see on the store, is the title and a brief description of the game. I think this is something that they really need to change in the store. I can safely say, that I will NOT buy a game based off a description alone. A little bit of game footage goes along way.Needless to say I went online to look up some PSN games. The reviews and the video of Burn Zombie Burn, seemed quite interesting. Its essentially Super Smash TV but with Zombies.
This has all the Zombie goodness anyone would want in a little game like this. It has the lawnmower like in the Movie ,"Dead Alive". The chainsaw, like in Evil dead, infact you could say that a few of the weapons are from evil dead, the chainsaw and the boomstick. Tons of weapons offer a great variety of ways to dispatch your enemies. The bat, while really slow, sends your baddies flying towards the screen, much like the old ninja turtle game, Turtles in Time, when they fought Shredder.

One thing that confused me was the select weapon choice. I thought that you could collect weapons and they would be in an inventory, but really what it is, it just replaces the weapon that you have. What the weapon select button does is just shows you were the next weapon is located on the map. duuhhhhh!!!

Anywho, you can set Zombies on fire, they run away from fire, but you get more points when they are on fire and give you better power ups for your bombs. There are numerous zombies types, fast, slow, big, poisons, explosive. What you have to do is survive has long has you can, defeating wave after wave of zombies. Once you get the controls down, its really quite fun.
Best thing about it, is that it has co-op. So you and a friend can see how long you can survive the onslaught on enemies. Which is good, because you can watch each other backs. Bad, that you share lives. So I played with friends this weekend, and I didn't die at all, while my friends used all 3 lives.(Ian and Joe) But again, this can be fixed with getting used to the controls.

My only complaints is that this could have been a great game to play co-op online. Alas, there is no online play, only online leader boards. It also takes sometime to get used to the chaos on the screen, "where am i?" was a big thing with me. The game can be has hard or has easy has you want it. With 3 different modes, survival, protect, and bomb the hell outta that thing mode.
Which makes the trophies half and half. The ones that you can get are relative easy to do. While the harder ones, requires you to play for up to 4 hrs without dieing. That's nuts.

Overall, the game is great to play alone and with friends. A great price($9.99) and it keeps you entertained. I guess its like Left for Dead's little cousin.

KillZone2 - Multiplayer - PS3
So I dove into KillZone 2 Multiplayer and that's pretty much all I've been playing for the past week.My overall feelings about Killzone 2...its ok, but I didn't think it was better or worse than Resistance 2 online. They both have their positives and negatives. But all I'm going to blab about is Killzone's pros and cons.
The game play is just has fun has any other multiplayer, its what they add to it is what makes it different. Here they give you ranks like COD4 and Resistance 2, the higher you go, the more classes you unlock and the more abilities you can unlock along with weapons and point bonuses. Its really good with all those aspects of the game. It really gives you alot to look forward too when playing and adds a great diversity to the overall gameplay. There are 5 different modes,
1)Body count - which team gets the most kills
2)Assassination - Kill a single person on the opposing team or keep your guy alive.
3)Blow up a another teams base or defend from getting it blown up.
4)Hold and defend- there are 3 different spots on the map, you have to hold and defend from the opposing team.
5) Search and retrieve - Find an item and drop it off at a set location.
Each one of those, whether you are defending or attacking, both can give you a ribbon, which if you get 8 ribbons in each class, you get a medal which unlocks a new ability or bonus of some sort.

That part I particularly like. Some classes are defiantly harder to get your ribbons with than others and eventually you get into a game where the majority of people are just using rockets everywhere.
Its gets pretty easy to rack up kills by setting up in a area where the enemy pours out of a entrance way and shoos a rocket in there and get 2-3 kills with each rocket. But luckily its not just kills that get you points to rank up. Each time you use an ability or do any of the things mention above also gets you points.

So I enjoyed the game play. What I don't like about it is the view friend stats. In resistance 2 I can go in and see anyone of my friends or other players stats, what medals they got, all their info is listed. On killzone (and perhaps I'm an idiot and haven't found it yet..but) all is listed in my friends stats is their rank. They rank 9405 out of 170,059. That's it! I like going into other peoples stats and seeing how my friends are doing. Again, perhaps I'm missing it somewhere, but I can't seem to find it.
The other thing which I never encountered before in any online PS3 gaming are game freezes. 2 times that it happened, there was alot of shit happening on screen at once, explosions, people all over the place, shadows, butt load of stuff. Then the game froze, and not just the game, I couldn't turn the system off, nothing. I had to manually flip the switch on the system to get it to restart. This is the first time I had anything like that happen.
The trophies for online, which I don't really agree with. The top 2 trophies are silver, come in the top 3 % of all players for that week and gold, come in the top 1% of all players for that week. How can anyone compete with people who do nothing but play video games all day and night and all weekend long. I play maybe 2-3 hrs a night every 1-2 days. I will never see those trophies.Which brings up the gripe I have with most online trophies, if I have to compete with online harcore gamers , then I will always lose. I have a better change of going back to resistance 2 and getting 10,000 kills for a gold trophy than coming in the top 1% of all gamers for that week.
Overall, I enjoyed the online, it wasn't spectacular, but I did enjoy it. I think I enjoyed Resistance 2 online a little more, the co-op in Resistance 2 is awesome. On a different note, I am not one of the people who believe that all games need mulitplayer added to them, Dead Space being a great example. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed by either.
8/10
Here is a great video basically showing online in a nutshell.

KillZone2 - SinglePlayer - PS3
So I finally got Killzone 2, which when I first heard about it, I was not interested. But then the reviews that were coming out for it was raving about the game, saying it to be one of the best in the top 5 best shooters of all time, etc. So I figured I give it a try.So far, I am still doing the single player missions. I finished the game on veteran and am playing through a second time on Elite. Yes, to get the trophy, but also, its really fun. This is not a game that you can run and gun your way through. You have to pick a spot and take out your targets and move ahead, gaining a little ground at a time. It is one of the more realistic shooters I've ever played, even though its on a different planet, Helghast.
Each time you play through, there are quite a few ways to handle the situation. If you die one way, don't just keep rushing in the same way, take a different route, set up behind a wall, etc. There are enviromental items that can assist you in killing the Helghast, such has explosive everything. If a guy has set up behind a concrete pillar, just keep shooting the pillar until he has no cover, boxes are handle the same way.

The AI is some of the smartest I've ever seen as well. Almost has if you were playing against really people. If a guy is hidden behind a box and sticks his head up and you shoot his helmet off, he won't just keep sticking his head up in the same spot, he will move around, sticking his head out from the side, moving down a bit. They are really frikken smart. They will tuck their legs in from a firing spot, its really well done.
The animations of the guys getting killed and the blood splatter is awesome, again, some of the best I've seen in any game. The physics in the game is really well done, from grenades, the bolt gun, pinning people to walls with a giant bolt gun is friggin awesome!! Each weapons handles different, its just not a faster or more powerful version of the last gun. Keeping your buddies alive really help you along, but I've found in some situations you can sit back and they will clear out a room, and other times, I've seen ever one of them die and then all the Helghast focus their attention on me, That usually ends in death. So keep your guys alive, it really helps.

Things that pop up in a game that are irritating from time to time. The cover system is much like gears of war, the only thing is, you can't see, if you are covered completely like you can in the over the shoulder view you get in Gears. So if I take refuge against a wall, and I think I am covered, but part of me may be sticking out and I won't know it untill I see blood splats appear(That's me getting hit)
The other thing, is the friendly AI. The enemy AI is spot on. But there were a couple of times that my guys were just plain morons. I've died a few times because your buddies get in the way, or I've watched them die because they didn't move outta the way of gun fire. One instance I was running down the stairs and one guys shouts, "Here comes a Heavy(This is not a good thing) Take COVER!!" But my guys are all on the stairs and its was like they went into panic mode and just did circles on the stairs, so I couldn't move and we all ended up dead. This happened a few times and all at pivotal points in the game. Its like a boss appear and they all shit their pants briefly, but long enough for everyone to get screwed.

Overall, this is really great game. The single player was a little short, I think I did it in 9 hrs, not sure, but much longer than COD4. I didn't feel ripped off when I finished the end of Killzone2 like I did on COD4. so for single player I have to give this a 10/10

When I stop trophy hunting in single player I will start multiplayer and do a little chat about that. But if you own a PS3 and like FPS, then this is a must have for everyone. And if you like, hit me up for a little online gaming. My call sign is Victory_Class. That is of course when I start Mulitplayer for KZ2.

Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection - PS3
I love Retro games, anything 8-bit, 16 bit, vector, Basically anything that I remember playing or seeing when I was a kid. So when a company releases a compilation of all their games on one disc, I usually pick it up. I'm a sucker for old nostalgia type games. I got quite a few of them for the PS2 and recently they released a compilation of them for the PS3 called Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection. Its almost the same game compilation that came out for the PS2, with minor changes here and there and more games added. What can I say, I'm a big fan of these types of releases, especially the Genesis. There are over 40 plus games on this thing and all of them were games that I wanted to play when I was a kid, but either didn't because I couldn't afford them, or something new came out that I wanted to play more. Anyway, its a great trip down memory lane for me.
The game is set up to look like a Genesis system, with selectable carts on the right and the console on the left. Its really kick ass!! They all come with a little blurp about the game and includes game art. Their are interviews, but if you own the PS2 one, its the same interviews. Also it has a number of arcade titles that you can play, so you keep hitting the button to insert more quarters. So one can finally finish one of those money pot games without having to spend your months allowance trying to finish Altered Beast.

They also included Mulitplayer on these games, so you can play with friends on coop games such has streets of rage and Sonic 2. Its a really great feature.
The best thing of all, it has TROPHIES!!! yaaaaaayy, I love trophies and getting trophies based of requirements for these old titles were really fun. I have to say that out of all the games I own with Trophy's. This game by far was the easiest and some of he funnest ones I had ever gotten. I don't know if it was because of the old retro feel, but I had super fun getting the trophies here.

An example of some trophies were, reach this stage, or for Ecco the Dolphin, eat 200 fish, collect 100 rings or get 10,000,000 pts in sonic spinball in the first level. And in trying to get each of these, I found myself enjoying playing the game itself.
I really don't have any gripe with this game except, when I first turned on the game there was sound, then when I selected a game and the game started, the sound disappeared. I thought that the game was screwed up or the emulation of the games on the disc was done wrong. Instead the sound for the game runs on the same line has my headset. So the sound was being played through my headset. So if you unplug your headset or change the settings in the PS3, it works just fine.

I really enjoyed this game and you will be happy to know, that this title got me my 3rd Platinum Trophy, yeeeehaaaa. I am really sad that I finished this game, but its always still fun to go back to old titles with a friends and just go through levels. Its a great time, if you are a fan of old retro games, than you will love this title. I think my rating for this game will be a little bias than most gamers, so its a little higher on my list than most people would rate it.

The Darkness - PS3
When this game first came out, it did interest me and didn't have enough buzz about it for me to pay the full price of it. So Last November I got it in the bargain bin and it has been sitting on my shelf ever since. So I figure I stop the new games I' ve been playing and finally get this one started and finished. It doesn't have trophies because it came out before all the trophy hype. But it does have its own achievements, which are kinda fun, but I felt no reason to get a in game trophy. The game is based off the Top Cow comics, "The Darkness". I've never read any of these comics, only seen pictures of it. The game is a FPS, first person shooter, but in addition to guns you get Darkness powers. Its these darkness powers that set the game apart from you standard shooter.
One can complain that this is a mediocre shooter, and if it just had the gun elements, they would be right. But having darkness powers, makes it possible to handle every situation differently. For example, a group of guys are up ahead
.1)I can have a shoot out, just like any other FPS
2)I can send demons into the fray and let them kill them by either sawing off their heads, exploding, electricity, pissing on them, etc
3)I can use the darkness snake/eel and make my way to the front and rip out their hearts
4)Throw a black hole in the middle of them and let them get sucked into another dimension.
All scenarios can be solved without firing a shot if need be and can be pretty gruesome! ME likey.

A little over view of the game: your a guy(jackie), who gets possessed by this demon(darkness) who draws his powers from the darkness, so going into the light is bad.(shoot out the lights) Hes in the mob, so the story revolves around dead girlfriend, family and betrayal. In the middle of all this, he is trying to understand what is happening to him. So we have the darkness story line that parallels the mob story line. Get revenge and what the hell is happening to me.
So overall, its got a great story, great voice overs, the darkness powers really kept me interested in the gameplay, lots of side missions, (much like GTA), and was pretty gory. The downside, it has some of the worst acting animation I've ever seen in a game. When the characters show emotion, angry, happy, down right pissed off, they all still have the same expression. You couldn't tell if he was happy or angry. They didn't give them any eye animation, sure he blinked, but could it have been that hard to add eyebrow animation to the characters?!I must say that I was really surprised by this game. It shouldn't be overlooked by people thinking its your standard FPS. I really enjoyed the game, it was just its dated look that is its downfall. Still enjoyable.

Resistance 2 - PS3
I own the first one, and it was one of the few games that I really got my moneys worth outta of. The single player was great and the online was really fun. I played this game for 2 years without getting bored. So I was delighted to hear about a Resistance 2. And knowing me, I love any game that has Trophies, I am a trophy addict. I will do everything I can to get the trophies. Right now, that's what I am currently doing, trying to get all the trophies.
The single player mission is much shorter than the first one. It looks better, the controls are mapped better, but its kinda short. But again, they get you to replay these levels to get the trophies. So after I have played through once, I gotta go back again, to kill certain enemies a number of times with a specific weapon, or find all the intell and so on. Its pretty fun.
What I think is missing from the game is the vehicle portion and controlling large mounted guns. Instead it is replaced with Giant Leviathan bosses. They are all pretty easy to beat, its the overwhelming of enemies on the screen that always kill me. But with all the enemies on the screen and all the shit blowing up and bullets flying, there is NO slow down time. Its awesome to see 50-60 enemies on the screen at once and mowing them down with grenades and explosives.

The weapon system is different aswell. You don't collect weapons and have them throughout the entire game like the last one, instead, you can only carry 2 weapons at a time, so choose your weapon carefully. Head into a situation with the wrong weapon and make it past a checkpoint, you got some hard times ahead.
But its the multiplayer where this game really shines. You got Co-op, (my fav) and Competitive. Co-op of course is playing with people online to work together to complete task. There are 3 different classes to choose from. A heavy gunner, Medic and Spec OPs. They did a great job of making people work together online as well. Unlike most games where groups of people on the same team runoff and do whatever they want to do by themselves. Co-op actually is set up so that all 3 benefit each other. Each one needs the other to get by, if you go in with just a heavy gunner, you will run outta ammo, so you need the spec-ops to resupply with ammo or your up shit creek. The medic, well for obvious reasons. You can't heal yourself, any damage taken stays with you, you don't heal over time. All you team gets wiped out and if there's not medic to revive you, your Fked. The solider, well, hes the tank of the team, able to deal large amounts of damage quickly and able to put up force fields to protect the rest of the team. Its Great how they made the co-op in this game.

So overall, I really am enjoying this game. I have gotten almost all the single player trophies and am working on the co-op trophies now. Then after that I have to get the competitive trophies. but I doubt I will get all of those. Its something like get 10,000 kills for a gold trophy. I've been playin alot, and I only have 738 kills. I can only imagine how many hrs you would have to put in to get 10,000 killsI like this game, its great with friends and much better than the online game sites say. I say if you got a PS3 then this one is worth your while. Get a buddy to get it aswell. Its great fun.

Playstation HOME- BETA-PS3
This is gonna be pretty short. The Playstation Network have been going on forever about their new interactive online community, the Playstation Home. Well it was released this week and I must admit that I was a little interested in the whole ordeal. So I clicked it and gave it a download.I've read a few things online about the whole thing, and there seemed to be quite a bit of hype about the whole thing. IGN said that Sony is hoping that this will be a system seller, that it will push new systems and that the download will be 500MB, a networked community to meet and play games.
Well, when I downloaded it, it asked me if I wanted to put aside 3700MB of space for this. So I wanted to give it a try, so I did, but that's a far cry from the 500MB that was once said, but I know things in this industry change, so what!?
Then when I got it downloaded it gives you options to create your own avatar, which is an adult guy or girl with very limited options. I mean you can do alot with the facial features, but the outfits and accessories are very limited. If you want to really custtomize yourself and your apt you have to buy with actually money the items from the playstation store. Yeah, watch me !So after you make the person that you think resembles you, you start off in your apartment where you can move things(furniture, pictures) around and make it your own. You can leave and go to other areas, the court, the mall, etc.Its when you leave your apt that you can meet other people and play games that are offered on home. Chat and challenge friends to a friendly game of something.....God this is making me sick....ITS STUPID, BORING, STUPID PIECE OF BORESHIT!!!!...GOD!!
The only fun I had was trying to make an online version of me, but they didn't have any facial hair, just lame mustaches. Only mimmy thinks mustaches are cool. It was dumb, every thing about it. Moving shit around in my virtual apt and meeting people online, and the games that are offered are boring. ITS NO GOOD!!!....I downloaded it and installed it and maybe 10 min later uninstalled it and deleted it, what a waste of space and time. The only people who will like this are people with no lives and are in to that whole second life deal. The average gamer I think will get just has bored and unentertained has I was. Download it if you like, give it a try and see for yourselves. If you like this and see this has something that you want to rush home and get into, then you truly have no life. Just stop right now, cut off your wiener and tape yourself to the chair and have all your food pumped in through the window in puree form.
God this is stupid. 0/10

Blazing Angels 2, Secret missions of WW2- PS3
I like flying shooters. I think my first experience with a flying shooter was wing commander for the PC. I thought it was amazing and since then, I've been playing variations on the genre when they come out. I must say, that not many of these types of games are made, but when one is released, I usually pick it up. Some are really good, but for the most part, they all rank in the OK dept.Blazing Angels 2 is set up in the WW2 era. So it has all the planes of that era and even the secret ones that were only talked about. The secret army of the Germans and Japanese. For anyone who has never played any of these type of games, they all consist of , 1) Protect this, 2) Escort this, 3) Destroy this. It may or may not have a time limit attached to the mission. I prefer the ones without the time limit, mainly because I like to fart around alot in games.
The story revolves around a secret air group who have to do a secret mission to protect the world from the crazy Nazi's. Oh, those crazy Nazi's and there blimps. You are sent on mission after mission, to do 1 of the 3 things mentioned above. Now this may seem pretty boring, the same 3 things over and over again. But There is quite alot of variety in the game. For one its never just protect this thing, its always a variation on what needs protecting, so it never feels like I am doing the same things over and over.

In regards to the planes themselves, you can select from over 52 planes, each with there own set of parameters, certain planes are better suited for the job. Although you cannot choose what weapons you attach to your planes, they are pre-set. You can upgrade your weapons and defensive weapons and your plane, speed, maneuverability, armor, armor piercing bullets, etc, you get the idea. There are alot of stuff to upgrade.
You can even customize the look of your plane, paint job wise. Put insignias on them, make it all bright green if you like. Which ties in with the other part of the game. It has some of the better multiplayer for flying games, I've played. With all the customization , you and your friends can make a fleet of planes, and sorta run amuck online. Their is coop mode, which is pretty neat. And a bunch of mulitplayer options.

My only gripe with the game is, and I think this for most PS3 games, the print is so damn small, I can't see it. I guess when they make these games, they must think everyone has a 50inch TV. Because my little 25inch, I can never see what the hell the print is, the same on dead space and GTA4. So that being said, I guess I can't complain about that for this game, since it does seem like a PS3 thing.
The other thing is the customization area. Selecting planes should be has easy has clicking left, plane, left, plane. but instead, its left..loading.....loading....loading.....plane,. Clicking on any option to get to the next plane or color scheme, takes a little too long. And I'm thinking with the PS3 supposing to be this big super computer. Load times that make you feel like their are load times are unacceptable.

But that doesn't have anything to do with gameplay. The game itself, is fun, but nothing that I haven't seen before. There are achievements in the game. But since they are not trophies, I don't care about trying to get them all. I finished the game and put it away. Maybe I will try it some time when I want to go online and fiddle a bit. Its a average game, not bad, but nothing new either.
