Video Game Drinks

This site, Drunkenmoogle, went ahead and made all kinds of video game based drinks. Some of them sound quite tasty, but probable cost me a fortune to make. But they are cool none the less.

Karma Moment (Infamous Cocktail)

Ingredients:
2 oz. Gin
2 oz. Tonic Water

1 dash of Blue Curacao OR Creme de Noyaux (depending of if you feel good or evil)

Directions: For this deliciously good/evil gin and tonic modification, fill a glass with ice. Pour the gin over the ice first, then the tonic water. Add a dash of blue curacao for good, or a dash of Creme de Noyaux for evil.

Quick Boomerang (Mega Man 2 Shot)

Ingredients:
15 ml Passimo passion fruit liqueur
15 ml vodka
1 lemon peel

Directions: Pour in the passion fruit liqueur, then layer the vodka on top. Cut a boomerang-like shape out of the lemon peel and add it to the top before serving. Like Quick Man, this drink is fast!

Liquid Snake (Metal Gear Solid Cocktail)

Ingedients:
2 oz Whiskey

1/2 oz Sweet Vermouth
1/2 oz Dry Vermouth
1 dash bitters
1 gummi worm (or snake)

Directions: Combine all ingredients into a glass, stir, and enjoy. Note: this drink is essentially a “perfect manhattan” with gummi worms instead of a cherry, but don’t tell Foxhound.

Rapture’s Delight (Bioshock 2 Cocktail)

Ingredients:
1 oz lemon juice
1 tsp sugar

1 egg white
1 oz absinthe
1 1/2 oz bourbon whiskey
1 dash Peychaud’s bitters

Directions: Shake all ingredients well and pour.

Zero Suit Samus (Metroid Cocktail)

Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz. Hypnotiq

1 oz. Blue Curacao
1/2 oz. freshly squeezed orange juice
A splash of Midori
A splash of Apple Pucker
3/4 cup ice

Directions: Squeeze the juice out of half an orange and use a scoop to remove the pulp, leaving you with just a clean rind. Measure the juice to 1/2 oz. and blend all ingredients together and strain into a glass. Place the orange over the glass and serve. Before drinking, remove the “armor” and enjoy.

Street Fighter Cocktail (Blankatini)

Ingredients:
1.5 oz. green apple vodka
1 oz. melon liqueur

Directions: Pour both ingredients into a cocktail glass and stir. Line the rim of the glass with orange sugar or cotton candy and garnish with a lemon peel. Drink and try not to get electrocuted.

Navi - Legend of Zelda :Ocarnia of Time Shot

Ingredients:
10ml Dr. McGillicuddy’s MentholMint Schnapps
20ml Hpnotiq
10ml Vodka

Directions: Place shot glass and all ingredients in the freezer and chill thoroughly. Remove, pour in mentholmint schnapps, mix hpnotiq and vodka and layer on top of schnapps. Down quickly while it’s still cold.

Yoshi's Eggnog

Ingredients:

  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1/3 cup sugar, and a tablespoon
  • 1 pint whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 ounces bourbon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Green food coloring
  • Marshmallow cream

Directions:

In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat the egg yolks until they lighten in color. Gradually add the 1/3 cup sugar and continue to beat until it is completely dissolved. Add the milk, cream, bourbon and nutmeg and stir to combine.

Place the egg whites in the bowl of a stand mixer and beat to soft peaks. With the mixer still running gradually ass the 1 tablespoon of sugar and beat until stiff peaks form. (That’s what SHE said!)

Mix marshmallow cream with green food coloring until cream is vibrant green. Use a spoon or gloved finger to smear the green marshmallow on the inside of your eggnog glass like spots. Make sure not to use too much marshmallow when applying or the eggnog will quickly turn green as well.

Pour the eggnog into the spotted glass to see the Yoshi’s egg effect.
