This was one of those games that I always wanted to play as a kid, but my mom wasn't about to pay $400 for a Turbo Graphix 16 back in the day, when I had a perfectly good Genesis on the go.But Bonk's adventure as always been on my radar as a must play game. Now, I do own a buttload of mods on my PC. But playing a mod is not the same as playing a redone mastered game.
Mush like how they handled all the Sega Genesis remakes, new menus, etc.
Boy what a super disappointment Bonk's was...no menu's..no publishing logo's. It literally starts up like a mod...screen goes black and then the game appears.
If you hit R1 or L1, it takes you to a menu, just like a mod...you can save, load and look at instructions.
But the overall feel and re-release of this game is probable one of the worst excuses I've seen for a game in my life. Or at least on the PSN, its horrible. I just may have well played on my PC, since I already got it, didn't cost me anything. Instead I should have taken my 6 bucks and set it on fire in the streets.
If you have never played Bonk's adventures and looking for a updated version. Stay far away from this .....from this monstrosity. Heck, download a mod and play it on your PC if you got one, its the same thing. Boy what a waste of money.
I will play the game and finish it..no doubt.After that I delete it and burn it...to ever be forgotten on the PSN store.
