Gaming Disconnect Ages14-35

A sad fact that I read yesterday was a pole taken by gamers. The question was,"What do you think about the state of online gaming in regards to rudeness.?"

People between the ages of 25-35 said that it was annoying and diminished the quality of online gaming.

People between the ages 14-24 said that its just a acceptable part of online gaming.

Its that disconnect why alot of my friends stay away from online gaming. But what I've found is that if you establish a friends list with other enthusiastic gamers. I have had 100% success with having an enjoyable gaming experience.

I remember my first experience of coming across rudeness in online gaming. It was on the PC and I was playing multiplayer in Medal of Honor Battle chest. I didn't have a mic at the time so I could only talk by typing but I could still hear people who did have a mic.

And my first thoughts back then and so were most othere people's, if you had one asshole who was cursing up a storm and just generally being a dick to everyone. Gamers could the choice to vote that person off the map. Sure they would come back, but after being kicked off that map a bunch of times he/she(I have yet to met a rude female online, but I'm sure it can happen) left for good. AND THE GAME WAS BETTER WITHOUT ASSHOLES!!

People didn't like it, I don't like it. I just want to play and enjoy the game. I don't want to listen to a bigoted racial slur war going on in the background.

I was a adult before I first experienced online gaming. But these kids today experience it their first time out of the gate. So of course they are going to think its normal, its the first and only thing they know.

I for one, would like for them to bring back voting to kick people out of the game. BUT, get a good group of friends and none of that matters. Its night a day when it comes to playing online with friends and playing with strangers.

So if you are one of those that say,"I don't like online gaming because of all the assholes" Then you haven't played a online game with a group friends.

This video is a great example of what online gaming is to alot of people. For one, its funny that you have a kid probable between the ages of 10-12(Who shouldn't even be playing GTA in the first place) cursing it up with a guy who sounds between 17-19, its ridicules. It makes me angry just listening to this shit!!

This is why I don't mind paying for xbox live. Party chat is worth 5 bucks a month never to have to listen to those turds.

Kids of that age are always going to be arseholes especially when they have an audiance and they think they can get away with it.
