Video Game Heads

Some video game costumes for just your head.

Gatling Gears

10$ twin stick shooter on the PSN. I am a sucker for twin stick shooter games, all except that horrible Ghostbusters - Sanctum of Slime game, that was just plain bad.

You can play it with a friend local or online with friends. The visuals and style of the game is amazing, I love the look of the game. Very bright and cartoony.

You control two big battle mechs that have super upgradable powers, 3 to be specific. A gatling gun, missiles and grenades and you can also upgrade your shield 3 times.

You can also unlock new skins, and a special effect that flows behind your mech as you walk, such as fire, leaves, etc. Then you get a animal that follows you around from a fox, crow, etc. All 3 of these are just visual flares that really don't do anything.

The game gets pretty crazy at times much like a SHUMP, with all the bullets and missles flying around on screen. At times I can't tell which bullets are mine and often times there is no way of not getting hit.

I thought I would enjoy this game more than I did, don't get me wrong its fun and I enjoyed playing it in co-op. I just wished the visual unlocks did more than just look pretty, I guess is my only complete.

Fun game, and I will go back to it to clean up some trophies.

Mario's Words of Wisdom

If ever time something bad happened to me I became smaller, I wouldn't exist right about now.

Dead Island - Done, Finito, Stick a Fork In It

Finally finished Dead Island, it said that its campaign is 20 hrs long. Last time I checked I was 23 hrs in. But when I finally finished the game, it was a total of 40 hrs. But alot of that is me exploring everything, doing ALL of the side quest, etc.

In the end I had found all 120 collectables, and I was even trying to collect all of those so that was a nice surprise. I had also explore all 72 locations, but yet there were areas on the map that were still not explored, so I guess if you just enter area without really exploring it still counts, so that was another bonus.

Let me Sum it Up

Good

- Gameplay is fun, enjoyable hunting and running from zombie hordes.
- SKill tree is always fun but because you can't upgrade everything in one playthrough, then select your skills wisely. I put 1 point into my rage skill tree and the rest went into combat and survival.
- Upgrading weapons and item finding is always fun
- Playing with friends is a blast, especially when your just goofing around.
- Exploring the different areas was entertaining, I got a few good scares and a few cheap deaths.

Bad

- Most everyone you interact with for quest have little to no animations. Most of the time they stare at the floor as they scream that their loved ones are missing. Its really odd.
-At some point in the game I wanted to encounter that typical scene that we see in most zombie movies, where you enter a area and its just zombies as far as the eye can see. This never happens, heck there is trophy for setting 10 zombies on fire at the same time. Good luck getting more than 5 zombies in a area at anyone time. I would have rather more slow moving zombies rather than faster moving zombies.

- No sniper rifles, again, this comes from a zombie movies of sitting on a roof top surround by zombies and just picking them off one by one with a sniper rifle. BUT - I don't know if you do get a sniper rifle in the game, you may.?? I just never found one.
- End Boss is a dick, be prepared to die every 5 secs and lose all your money, so be sure to spend all your money on something before you fight him, unless you think you can survive without dieing, then you really are a master zombie hunter.
-Online co-op although enjoyable is buggy as hell, game freezes, drop outs, just weird things happening. Its not horrible, but its annoying when it happens.

With it done, I will probable play co-op with whomever is interested to fart around for a bit, but I doubt I will be going through the campaign again.

Alot if not all of these bugs have been fixed to date, but I heard that it was a pretty buggy bug for a week or more.

Don't Watch This

Yup, posting a video and telling you not to watch it. Go find something else better to do for 10 min. This is why I lost interest in the Final Fantasy games. They just got too weird, I don't have a clue whats happening half the time and I'm tired of the spikey hair that is anime culture. You can keep your Final Fantasy Games. Until I see a major shift in art direction, it will be a long time before I play another Final Fantasy.

The Death Bowser

This makes no sense to me... but its pixellely?!

Nightwing Comes to Gotham

I don't have BF3 , don't have Batman....yep its official, I'm not a gamer anymore. But on the bright side, if I wait long enough, they will release a game of the year edition of Batman, Arkham City with all the DLC for a reduced price. I look forward to that day!! I waited for Borderlands to do that and the wait was well worth it.

No Battlefield 3 for Me

Battlefield 3 is out and I'm not playing it..why? It's stupid really...me being stupid. It starts with me not pre-ordering games, mainly because the shop that takes per-orders usually give out copies of limited editions to walk-ins if they ask. I've done if for most all games I've gotten their.

But this time because I guess Battlefield 3 is so popular they weren't giving pre-order copies to walk ins. So if I wanted to get the regular edition I could. BUT......But!!...I can get a copy of Battlefield 3 for free in the mail, but it takes up to a week for it to be sent to me, maybe more. But its free!

My thinking was " I did plan on paying full price for the limited edition - But if I am only able to get the regular edition - why pay full price for it when I can get it for free.?"

So that's about it...I will probable be playing Battlefield 3 a week from now, maybe longer. In the mean time I can finish up Dead Island and a couple of my DLC games while I wait.

Badass Samus

Mario Cards

I might have to order these myself, a little pricey..but its pixels!!! they are a weakness. Go here to get yours today. Dammit..I bet they don't ship to Canada!

That Looks Painful

If I saw a big boobed lady doing martial arts and jumping and flipping all over the place, I think I be amazed...in shock even. But all I picture is Pamela Anderson awkwardly trying move around as Barb Wire. I wonder if she can knock her self out with her own boobs? Here's King of Fighters fighter...I don't know her name..lets call her Death Boobs.

Link's a Bunny??

Did I miss something?..Why is Link a bunny?

KB Comes to Facebook

PR guy KB(love the KB comment) apparently is moving to Facebook with some promotional thingy. I currently don't have my PSN account connected to Facebook becuase I don't want all my shenanigans posted to Facebook every time I do something cool!

Dead Island Completion 100%

Dead Island is fun, no doubt about it. Its a game that I would love to platinum, but I just don't have the time, hell Batman been out for a week and I haven't even touched it and Battlefield 3 comes out tomorrow. There's just no time.

The one thing that does deter me even more with playing trying to platinum Dead Island is the the trophy that has you maxing out your skill tree. I'm told that in order to do this, you need to play the game 3 times to just get enough XP.

That and the trophy of beating Act 1 with all 4 characters? man, that's alot of time spent on one game doing the same missions over and over. Don't get me wrong, I am enjoying myself but to do those a second time, no problem...a third time?..well maybe.........but Act 1 three more times....that's way too many hrs that I just don't have.

Unfortunately, I think this Plat will have to be for people who have more time than I have.

Better Than Most Things Geroge Lucas Touches

There's a couple things that make me sad about this video. First, its sad that a video game trailer is 100 times better than most things that George Lucas puts his hands on. I watched 6 min of that video and its already better than 3 hrs of most of his movies.

Secondly, I doubt that the game play will give me the chills that one's experiences from watching that master piece. From what I am told, MMO's are more of grinders with pockets of action? But I don't know, since I really never played one. ( I did try Dungeons and Dragons Online - but was bored with the wizard and warriors scenarios)

Regardless, this video is old and still awesome, hell I may just buy the game just to see the whole story.

Gears 3 in Co-op

Recently finished Gears 3 in co-op with a friend. Like most, not all...but most co-op games are great fun with others. Gears is no exception, great fun. I can't comment on any other aspect of the game besides the single player portion done in co-op mode. Which can be done with up to 4 players online, that must be fun?!

This is a game that would make me buy back my Xbox and get a gold membership and that's saying alot. As I read the that they have the hardest achievements on the xbox with get 6000 kills with each weapon being one of them. Hell, it took me months to get 10,000 kills in Resistance 2, so those numbers are truly only for people who do nothing else but play Gears 3 daily.

Overall, Its still gears, but with my favorite new thing is the Hammerburst, but it has a iron site which really gives a tactile feel to the 3rd person runner. That gun was my go to gun throughout the entire game.

And the game overall still feels like a gears of war game. But there are the same things which I still don't like in the game, such as the roll and take cover button being the same one. This results in me hiding against a wall out in the open when I wanted to roll to safety.

That and when enemies get face to face with you, shooting from the hip is pretty much useless. So you have to use your iron sites, but your two close to get a bead on the enemy and just results in a mess.

Two things that has been in all of the games and never fixed them. I guess I'm in the minority about those complaints.

But if you are going to play gears, play with a friend, its just some great fun. Especially when you watch your partner, grab the mortar, aim it at his feet and blow the shit outta himself. Then you laugh and pick up the gun and do the same thing he just did. Its great fun. They say this is the last gears, I doubt that. As long as game keeps making decent money, they will keep making them. It may change developers hands, but I don't think we seen the last of Gears.

Your A Winner

So this is how the princess finally greets you in the end of Mario Bros Game.

The Last AngryBender

That doesn't even make sense?..he bends anger?!..look out hes throwing a argument at you, block it with a happy thought!

Fall Deaderlands Rising

Been playing alot of Dead Island lately, yes I know Batman is out and I haven't even bought it. I will, no need to get it though while I am still engrossed in a current game.

But Just thought I throw this in about the game Dead Island. It reminds me of 3 different games mixed into one and in a good way.

First is Borderlands in how they handle the skill tree and core game mechanics, except guns, its mainly melee weapons. Even the quest are laid out much like borderlands, that and the co-op and driving portions of the game. I would say that the game is very much 60% like Borderlands.

Secondly is Dead Rising, well obviously it is a survival zombies game, but more in the save people and create weapons from finding different items to create a bat with nails or a electrified kitchen knife. Nothing as silly as Dead Risings possibilities, but they are there none the less.

Third is Fallout, but only a small portion and only in the aspect of collecting items. Dead Island you have to search everything to collect all sorts of random items. Wires, metal blades, just alot of weird stuff that you don't really know if you need or not. But unlike Fallout where you have limited number of slots, Dead Island you have a bottomless tickle trunk for weapon making items.

That's about it, enjoying the game so far. I haven't come across any crazy bugs that people mentioned when the game first came out, so all is well. Well ....as well as it can be for a zombie ridden island.

Mushroom Omelet

Mmmmm, I love eggs and mushrooms.

Warning!!! Warning!!! Anger Ahead!!

I'm not a controller throwing guy when a game screws me over (better known as me sucking at a part) But at a point I just start talking to the game as if its a person with whom I'm trading insulting comments with. This signs sums it up nicely!

India's Assassin Creed?!?

I don't know what I just watched. Was it a trailer for an assassin creed movie from India or a trailer for that guy?! I don't really know, it confuses me. Thanks Julio for confusing me for the rest of the day!

Video Game Comedy

This guy is pretty fuuny and hits alot of points that most older gamers face today.

Poop Roller

This was one game that I really enjoyed, but had to stop after 10 min into each session because it made me motion sickness. From what I played, its great and I tried several times to try and play the game to finish it, but I couldn't get past that 10 min mark. BAMM...and my stomach would start to roll, it was horrible. I don't know what it is about certain games that make me sick, but this one was to rank up their for being number 1. Great game, the small bit I did play.
