Fallout Monopoly
Some guy actually made a fallout themed monopoly board. Now I know there are tons of themed monopoly boards, heck they are slapping all kinds of shit on these things nowadays. But this one is pretty cool.

Savage Moom - PS3
About time is all I have to say, infact I have at least half a dozen DLC games that I can say that about.
Finally buckled down and found some time to finish my DLC games. Seeing as September is going to be the start of a crazy( but great) game release. I got a week to finish as many DLC games that I own. Just have to find the time to play them. Time...you are my NEMESIS!!!
Anybeans, Savage Moon is a Tower Defense RTS and much like many types of these games. I always manage to miss out on a pivotal feature with these games. Mush like Pixel Junk Monsters, the key to that games was selling specific towers at certain times and replacing them with different ones, that was the key to winning.
For savage moon, it was finding the right time to push the next wave of enemies and find the one spot to build all your towers.
I guess that was the big difference in this tower defense and others I've played. Other RTS you find strategic places to put certain towers ALL OVER the map. With savage moon, you want to find a large enough area that you can cluster has many guns in one area as possible. Even though you can build all types of different weapons. You really only need 4 types.
The main gun, anti air gun, repair base, power base. That's really it, there are so many other weapons, but I used mostly those 4 for the majority of the game.
But like always I only learned this from watching videos of other people playing. So see what am I doing wrong, why am I always losing. Well you lose, if you put your towers all over the place. You need to keep them in bunches, so your repair towers and power booster towers effect your weapons directly.
So knowing that, it really does make playing the game fun and enjoyable to not knowing these things and making the game frustrating and not fun.
That's what I find about these games, you have to find the "how to play this game" with trial and error. I just don't have the time to figure this out, when I've died for the 13th time and each round last about 10-15 min, well failing alot tends to add up. So I have to figure out what to do rather quickly.
But after I did, it was a very enjoyable game. But the learning curve( for me) was hard. I can only recommend this game if you are a tower defense RTS fan. Otherwise, take a pass.

Today's Headlines
You ever read some of the headlines that some gaming sites put up? I mean, I'm no wordsmith myself, but I also don't have editors, writers, game testers, a full on game site either. I was just thinking how some of these headlines are just plain silly. Lets begin with some of today's headlines.
IGN
"Does Playstation 3's Price Cut Matter?"
- What does this have to do with anything? The only thing this article is going to do is bring on fanboy rage. It matters to the PS3 fanboys and doesn't matter to the Xbox 360 Fanboys, that's about it. I think IGN just likes to hear fanboys complain at eachother.
Destructiod
"Dumpster Baby"
- Whats to say here, I agree. There isn't enough awareness about dumpster babies. They are like the ulgy cousins of cabbage patch babies.
Destructiod
"Star Fox, Kid Icarus, Link/Sonic porn, and more now in 3D"
- It has the word porn in it, with a fury blue animal and a human. I can only imagine the comments on this article. Lets move on, I'm not touching that.
Kotaku
"Pin-Up Quitter Gets Crazy, Sings Songs, and Flashes Butt Cheeks"
- People always like a good , 'some person went crazy and mooned someone" story. So I will click it and see if its worth it, be right back...........WOW!!!!! that was a waste of time. There is no story or article, its just a video of a girl dancing around in lingerie, while holding her boobs...what the hell am I saying..its soft core porn with some Asian chick singing, " Chupa Chupa".
I like to say there were more, but I checked the other sites and all the other ones were pretty informative with their namings and articles, for today anyway.
If I had to pick a winner or I guess loser out of today's article headlines. I have to give it to Kotaku's Headline. It gives the hint that there's a story of some chick going crazy and showing her butt checks in the process and ends up being some weird Japanese music video followed by another weird video of some fat guy getting hosed by a bunch of girls in bikinis. So that's my winner..GOOD JOB!!

Patience is a Virtue
Yup, I've done this. I understand the animation and whole process, but sometimes I just like it if I went in and poof, healed. maybe a little FX animation. Or maybe I could wait patiently?

Is This the Straw That Broke The Camels Back?
If you follow any gaming news, that more than likely you have all heard that Gamestop have opened all new PC copies of Dues Ex and removed a online code that comes with the game.
A official statement by gamestop says,
Regarding the Deus Ex: Human Revolution OnLive Codes: We don't make a habit of promoting competitive services without a formal partnership. Square Enix packed the competitor's coupon with our DXHR product without our prior knowledge and we did pull these coupons. While the new products may be opened, we fully guarantee the condition of the discs to be new. If you find this to not be the case, please contact the store where the game was purchased and they will further assist.
So after they have opened a brand new copy of the game and remove the code, they then turn around and sell it back to you at full price.
Legally, it seems like its all still up in the air whether they had to right to do so or not. So however if plays out in the legal field is yet to be seen.
But it is crystal clear how it is being currently portrayed by gaming consumers. It is a resounding dick move on Gamestops part. People/gamers are not happy with them doing this. It is well documented that Gamestop does some pretty shadey things, even myself have had encounters with them.
But this one takes the cake. Gamestop saying that Square didn't let them know is kinda silly. Its an agreement between Square and Onlive. Not the stores, gamestop is not the only place that sells games. Any store as the right to refuse to sell something, so why didn't gamestop just do that?! Why not sell the game all together?!
I will tell you why, becuase they are greedy, they still want the sales. Too many times in the past I've asked for a copy of such and such a game and they give me a opened copy?!? WTF!!?? I would like a new one please, not some opened copy. I would also like a bag of chips, do you happen to have a opened bag of chips back there, cause I am really weak and can't open them on my own. If you do , that be great. In fact I will pay more, since you already saved me the time of opening it.
WOW!!, these guys are down right deceitful. If this doesn't stop you from buying and supporting gamestop, then nothing will. For Shame Gamestop..for shame.
Street Fighter 3rd Strike : Online Edition - PS3
I actually pre-ordered this when it first came out and picked it up two days ago. If you are a street fighter fan, then this is a MUST have for all street fighter fans.
I only ever played this in the arcades and never really understood all the new characters. But man the animations on these characters are beautiful and this version is loaded with all the extras. Its chocked full of goodies. So its just not a remastered version
It has single player, trials, unlockables, art, record your matches and upload directly to you tube, online matches, different match types. Its amazing for this quality game to 15 bucks)
If you are a fan of the series, you will love this. I know I am enjoying it. But I also suck at playing fighting games, but I still enjoy them all the same. So fighting online with this game results in me losing...alot. If I do win, its probable becuase my opponent probable put the controller down and went to take a dump.
So that would probable be my only complaint, but that complaint is for most fighting games. Is that online community is usually filled with hardcore players.
What I really like is the theme song that they have within the game itself. Its in the trailer here, but its acutally in the game. I like it, I think its fits great within the game. But These games usally have hit and miss when it comes to music for me.
But go get this today, and if you do, hit me up to test your skills online. Don't worry, its no different than fighting a baby. Not that I fight alot babies or anything.
Family Photos
That baby looks nothing like the dad....only one way to solve this. To the Maury Povich show for a " Who's My Daddy" - " You are NOT the Father" episodes!!!
More With R3 Beta - SLOW DOWN!
Okay, I said I wouldn't go back to the Resistance 3 Beta, but I wanted to try it online with friends one last time and with that, alot more came up and I've noticed more.
So I guess the last post could fall under the " ooh , NEW AND SHINY". Here's what stood out the most.
Please slow down the overall gameplay. Everyone moves way too fast. Its too arcadey, way too much like COD and Halo. You will meet people and they will spam the back and fourth motion, moving from side to side very quickly spamming the trigger. It makes for very annoying encounters.
Other great shooters, if someone started shifting fro side to side quickly, it usually results in them getting killed, due to moving around erratically while shooting results in poor aim. While here, spraying bullets while moving from side to side seems to be the thing to do.
The other things were we trying to set up friend squads? I guess? I don't know how it works since we couldn't get it to work.
We tried, 3 of us to invite each other, but kept getting error, " Person is not online". The only way we could get all 3 of us in the same match on the same team was to phone call each other and coordinate with one of us joining a random game and immediately have the other 2 players click the players name and join him while he is in the staging area.
Only then, would all 3 of us get in the match together.
But even after that fact, the game hard-locked on us a few times.
Like I said, they are called Beta's for a reason. So I wouldn't hold it against insomniac, since I also hated the Killzone 3 online beta. But that beta and what they released in the game were two different things. So I am still looking forward to playing some resistance 3.

Not My First Choice..But Hey!
Why stop with one controller? Why not have one for his brain, stomach, his weiner?? Go all out with this.
Ah, this one would have been great if the whole thing was pixels.
Ah, this one would have been great if the whole thing was pixels.
Resistance 3 - Beta Impressions
DAMN COOL!!! that's what it is - DAMN COOL!!
I guess from playing alot of battlefield, the first thing you notice is the speed of which everything moves at. People run faster, everything is faster. Which takes getting used to, but once you do, I was doing pretty good. At one point I heard one of my teammates say, "This is how Halo should be played". I don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing.
The one thing I did notice, is that opponents were bullet sponges. Holy cow, could they ever take a boat load of damage. Normally when you sneak up behind somebody, you should have the upper hand. Not here, ....here, you come up behind somebody, start laying the bullets into them, they turn around, activate a perk and kill you. Its kinda frustrating, so I hope they balance that out a bit.
But wow, its so nice looking and has all the bells and whistles in terms of options. Gun upgrades, perks, ribbons and medals and challenges.
The only bad thing I can think of, is this...I don't want to play it alot and go up in the ranks, only to start all over again once the game comes out. So for now, I am happy to have played the beta and enjoy it. But for now, I am going to wait for the full game. Can't wait for Resistance 3.
This is the online level that you get in this video.

BioShock 2 - Multiplayer
After finishing the single player on Bioshock, I jumped into multiplayer to give it a go.
First Impressions - Its Good, go try it.
Okay, lets explain a little. Bioshock is one of those multiplayer experiences that has the early level players really at a disadvantage to all the higher levels.
Expect to die alot, even if you get the jump on somebody, they can turn around and kill you in a heartbeat. Mainly due to all the perks that they've unlocked at the higher levels.
I've currently at level 7 and I still am getting my ass handed to me. But a few things that you can do to give yourself more XP besides kills are.
1) Research dead opponents
2) Hack Gun Turrets
3) Hack Health and Ammo Stations
4) Spam the hell outta your plasmids when you meet someone. If you try to shoot first, more than likely you will end up frozen, on fire or electrocuted just to name a few. All of which, give your opponent a leg up on encounters. So plasmids first, bullets second.
I was surprised to see a decent sized community still playing this game online. So finding matches wasn't that bad at all. I did encounter a few matches with horrible lag, that had me running down a hall then the next min, I was stuck in a corner. That match ended with me having 14 deaths and 2 kills. But on matches with no lag, I have come in first place a few times. So lag is a killer in this game.
But over all, its a great time. If anyone owns this game and like to jump on with me for some bioshock multiplayer, than by all means. I look forward to playing with ya.

Role Reversal
Now get in that kitchen and bake me a pie....you man, and not one of those dirt pies like last time.

Amy Trailer
You ever have those dreams where you are running away from something, something that if it gets you, then your dead, screwed, done for, over , Fanito!!?
A game, no guns, no weapons, playing as a little girl trying to escape monsters! Wow, this looks intriguing and scary as heck. I mean even dead space and Resident evil weren't scary bad for me, cause I had weapons to protect myself. This game is just going to result in me panicking and running into a wall. Can't wait to see more. These arn't zombies Ian!

Pac-Mask
Dear Santa,
My Name is Darryl, I have been a good boy most of the year and will try to be a good boy for most of next year. This Christmas I would like a pac-man mask and some surprises(Lumps of coal, although surprising like last year, isn't the good kind of surprising) I will leave some cookies and milk for you and some carrots for your reindeer.
PS- My Daddy likes reindeer meat.
Love Darryl

FanBoy-ZZZ
Fanboys are annoying regardless what they love. There's no reasoning with them, there is no seeing both sides of the pictures, there are no flaws when it comes to their vision of their product. They are fun to watch, but annoying as hell to know one.
This guy rages over his Mac, don't see that too often. Mac's are pretty reliable, but I know that if anything is going to happen, it usually happens to me.

BioShock 2 - PS3
Got this in the bargain bin for $10, more than worth the money. Heck if you pay $30 for this title now, its still the worth the money.
Won't say much on this beside some important bullet points that stood out for me.
1) Waiting the length of time I did from when the first game came out to playing the second one just now, really enriched the game alot for me. I didn't have that feeling that most people seemed to get when playing the 2nd one right after the first one. There for I enjoyed the game much more than the average gamer I think, because of that reason.
2) Multiplayer is fun, but starting at lower level are at a disadvantage to the more experience players, due to all the perks they have. So this means dieing alot in the beginning, but overall the gameplay online is fun. I enjoyed it more than what I thought I would. Its set up a little different how everything works, but the core online gaming your standard fare, but still very much enjoyable.
3) Came across 2 bugs in the entire game. Both were sound related. The first one was during a fight with a Big sister, the music gets all action intense. After you kill her, the music goes away and reestablishes the mood with its atmospheric tone. This one time, the action dramatic music didn't go away. So I had to finish the whole level with the pounding intense music. Which kinda took away from the levels intensity when your constantly up on 9 the whole time.
The other one involved carrying around a little sister. They tend to get chatty while perched upon your shoulder. Mine got stuck in a loop with," I'm bored". Every 5 secs, she chime in with" I'm bored, I'm bored, I'm bored, etc, etc". I never hunted down draining Adam as fast as I did while she was on my shoulder. Holy Heat balls was it ever annoying. Even while she was draining the ADAM from the corpse and the splicers were swarming me, she was still shouting out," I'm bored".
But in the end I had alot of fun with this game and enjoyed just as much as I did the first one. I am wondering if the ending turns out different if I decided to harvest all the little sister and not save them? But I will be playing online for a bit and see how that goes. Surprisingly, there is still a decent sized community still playing.
If you played the first one and liked it. But like me stayed away from the second one, go ahead a pick it up, you won't be disappointed.
Here's some other bugs that people have found.
