Sub-Scorpio Costumes
Here are two, not too bad MK costumes of two of the more popular characters. ( I wanted to see how many times I could use the word "two/too")

My PS3 Controllers Suck

I have 3 PS3 controllers, one that came with my 60 Gig launch system, another one I purchased 6 months after getting my PS3 and my rumble controller I purchased about a year ago. So 3 in all( for those of you out there that can't count.)
The rumble controller works great..the other two, maaaaan, do they ever suck major donkey balls. Both of them have the same problem, the left analog stick, sticks. So it really makes for annoying play when you leave your controller alone, but your character on screen is slowly moving left or right, or up, really doesn't matter which direction he is moving. Point being, the analog gets stuck ever so slightly, but enough that it really throws off gameplay.
So any friends that come over that use these controllers really does take away from the experience of what they are playing since, finite movements are out of the question. I would get a new rumble controller, but damn... those things are $60 and I alot $60 for game expenditures a month. So I either get a new controller to replace one of the two I have or hold on to my money for Duke Nukem?
Anyway, I have 2 controllers that suck the big one. Is this a design flaw? I'm not a guy who is hard on his controllers either, I don't smack them around or throw them. The only use they get are from actual gaming, nothing abusive. So I guess they are just poor workmanship?
I guess they will have to do for the time being.

Top 5 PSN Downloads

I'm sorry Sony, I have been a loyal costumer since the PS1, but this latest fuck up, and it is possible the biggest fuck up in gaming history just doesn't sit well with me. No doubt I will be removing all available info online, if I must put something in, then it will all be made up, or is that in some violation of some agreement?!...well you can't prove to me that you can keep it safe either!?.
With that, I will be using the prepaid game cards from here on. This has shaken my confidence in Sony alot, and I will distrusting them at every turn when it comes to my personal info. You F'd up big time Sony, especially if this rumor that our personal info wasn't hashed...really?!

Playstation Network is Down and Out

So we've been waiting 6 days for news on this, with Sony not really telling us anything. Well latest article, which I'm sure will be popping up everywhere in the next little while. But the PSN was indeed down due to hackers which made Sony go back to square one and rebuild their system.
What does this mean for us? It means there is no PSN, no store, no online play, on DLC. If you play free realms or DCU, it means none of that. For how long? Indefinitely, so sit back and get used to playing games offline for quite sometime.
Rebuilding the system from the ground up, I assume they will be keeping all our info? or maybe not? Does this mean we lose our accounts, our trophies? All of that seems way too far to answer right now.
I don't blame Sony, and I hope they catch the person/'s involved and if they think they went easy on GeoHot, then by all living hell, I hope they bring the hammer down hard on these dingbats.
So sitback, and if you need some online, jump on your PC, xbox Gold members, and your Wii friends. Its gonna be a long ride.

How to Do Sonya Blade's Babality

I guess I should have put spoiler alert infront of that title? so yeah...the new MK has Babalities. I must say they are pretty awesome. But unlike Fatalities that are listed in your move list or found in the krypt. Babalities are meant to be found out by hardcore fans. Not lazy ones like me.
The other night I was going through all the characters babalities just to see them all in action, cause they are quite funny. I was using a list that I found randomly online, and when I got to Sonya Blade's....didn't work. Did it again and again and nothing...since the rest of them worked perfectly first time round, I figured that this guy must have gotten the input wrong.

So off I went looking for alternate sources, what I found is that all the sites that had the list, must have all copied and pasted from this one site to their own sites, cause they all had it wrong. All the wrong ones were Down, Down, Forward and circle....this is wrong, but every site as it listed as that. One guy even had Back,Forward,Down,Back and circle which is stupid wrong.

After much searching, looking in obscure places, I found the correct inputs for Sonya's Babalities.
It is Down, Down, Forward and X. I don't know about you , but if I am going to post something, I am going to make sure that I tried it and it works rather than sticky note it up. Its annoying as hell and makes for a difficult search when they all copy paste, and its all wrong.
So for anyone else who had the same problem as me, hopefully, this will help.

Easter Weekend with Mortal Kombat

I picked this up on Thursday so I Kould play the long weekend with it, but I didn't really have much time with it, but enough to finish the story mode and poke around in all the other options. And that is what this game as..OPTIONS...holy moly does it have alot of stuff. Just like the old days where you get all this extra Kontent for free, unlike today where you it seems to be the norm to Kharge everyone for extra Kharacters and outfits. This game as that and more already included and then some.
Having finished the story mode and having farted around in the other options I must say that I am really surprised with the amount of Kontent in the game. Regular matches are set up like wrestling themes, with ladder matches, king of the hill, tag matches, etc. Then test your might, luck, sight and another one I Kan't remember off hand. Then there is the story mode, the krypt and nekropolis which contains the gallery with a ton of extras that anyone who is a fan of 2d and 3d art has in bounds. And what we've all heard about, the Khallenge ladder, which is wow..just wow, this is hardKore....but not so much that the average gamer can skip what he/she Kan't do and move on.

Its so full with goodies, it literally is like running around , whats over here, whats over there, lets go look at this. And you Kontinue to unlock all kinds of stuff, the more you play, the more stuff you find to add to the experience, new Kostumes, new fatalities. Each Kharacter has 3 fatalities, but you start with one and have to unlock the others. There stats for each fighter, when you meet these specification, that too unlocks Kool things.
Of Kourse the more Kooler items require more work. You Kan really see that the developers really wanted you play every bit of this game, and it shows and its great.

The game play is fun, well polished and fighting is easy to pick up and play. But like all fighting games, you Kan see a deep combat system that the hardcore fans will pummel my little white ass all over the online Kommunity. So unless you are a hardKore fighting player, be prepared to meet some insanely good players online. But I Kan't Komment on that really, since the PSN has been down for days now...(thanks hackers for fucking everything up..great job..you guys are great)

My only Komplaints so far is the hair texture on the Kharacters...holy Kow does it every look horrible. Johnny Cage is the worst offender with his hair looking like tire tracks. I think it was a design decision? there is no way that someone looked at that and went,"This looks great!". It doesn't, it looks awful, but again, I do think its was a design decision in the end.

But so far, I am loving this game, the best MK in a long while. Still lots to do and Kan't wait to see all the goodies I can find.

Your Last Decent Movie Tie-In Game?

Movie tie-in games are hard to come by these days. Maybe 1 in 10 will be lucky if it breaks the " Makes me want to sling the Disc into space" attitude after playing it. Most of the time, they are so broken its not even funny. So many things tend to be wrong with them. Either, the controls suck, game play is boring or repetitive or both, story is awful, visuals look horrible, its too short. Some have one if not all of these going for them.
But every so often, you get a movie tie-in game that?!!...that wasn't half bad! It wasn't a spectacular game, but its definitely something I would recommend to friends. Something that I'm not ashamed to mention that I played.
For the last movie tie-in game that I played that I actually enjoyed was X-men Origins: Wolverine. All thought the story is blah, the visuals were good, the game play was fun and entertaining and you finally were able to let loose and slice peoples heads off. So tired of seeing movies and cartoons where Wolverine will use his claws and you might see blood, might!!!
This game, he gets covered in the shit..er blood.
So I say without a doubt, that X-men Origins: Wolverine was the last good movie tie-in game I played. I'm not saying it was the best movie tie-in game I've ever played, just the last one to date that I played that I enjoyed.

One you can't choose are the starwars games. why? specifically, you can choose the games directly based of the movies as your favorite game such as Revenge of the Sith: the game, Super Starwars on the SNES,etc because they closely follow the movies.

But not games based off the franchise, such as Battlefront, Knights of the Old Republic, Jedi Academy, Rogue squadron, etc. If any of those were actually a movie, then sure. But they are not, so it doesn't count. It be like saying, I choose Batman, Arkham Asylum as my favorite movie tie in game because...well..there's batman movies. That doesn't count, Only games directly based off that particular movie.
What was yours?

Megaman Straps
Here are a set of megaman straps?...straps?..for what? how do I use this? to hog tie people? pigs? this confuses me, and at $60 for the lot seems a little excessive. They look cool, what ever they are, but I'll pass.
Mario Propaganda Posters
Here are some posters to get you all propagated...that even a word?!..well it is now, now go get propagated sir or madame.

My 23rd Platinum - Dead Nation

I think Dead Nation is the first DLC game to include a platinum?!..not 100% sure here, but I do believe so.
Got this with my good buddy Jay(Beatfreaker) from over at Portable Soldier. So this one can fall under," First platinum obtained by playing totally in online co-op". Well that's not entirely true, I had the game before Jay did, so I played through the game on single player. But I don't think that one counts, seeing as I had to play through the game a total of 5 times to get all the trophies.
Was that boring, playing the game 5 times?..no...because the trophies that had you beat the game on its most difficult settings was the most fun this game had to offer.
Beating the game on Morbid was a tight well thought out plan..no really it was. We run into a area, get surrounded and die. So next round, we plan out where we were going to drop mines, which direction to cover fire from, what weapon to use, what weapon to switch too once the bigger zombies appeared, where was the fallback point, etc. It was a BLAST!!I even said to Jay at one point after we died," Stick to the plan, stick to the plan". After a large overwhelming number of zombies tried to run us over and we broke from the plan and we both died.
How hard is Morbid mode...well to give a example. We started the very first level on a rooftop(game begins) we shoot a barrel that explodes and a bridge falls so we can cross to the next rooftop. But that also lets across zombies....zombies that ran across the bridge and next thing I hear is Jay," I'm Dead". We weren't into the game not even a min at this point. Its hard, I won't lie..but its also great fun.
The most boring part of getting this plat was collecting loot. My least favorite part of any platinuming games, finding all that damn loot or items. Its so boring and tedious, I hate it. I much rather the challenge of completing a difficult task than running around and finding loot.
But with that, comes my 23rd Plat. It took about 29 hrs to do all that, so it is a lengthy run through, but fun aswell. Only the loot trophies are boring as hell. The rest is well planned killing sprees.I know I said Heavy Rain was my next one, but I got stuck and kinda bored with the game after a certain point. Perhaps I'll pick it up again later, and give it a go again.

Saints Row 2 - PS3
If I had to describe Saints Row 2 it would be," The Fun Version of GTA 4 but without the Shine".If you are a fan of the GTA series, then you will probable enjoy Saints Row 2. The best part about the game are the variety of side missions coupled with fun factor, makes them far superior to GTA 4's selection of side missions. They aren't just the standard collect drugs, races, etc. They range from collecting insurance fraud by doing damage to yourself to a decent destruction derby tournament where you can upgrade your cars with each round. The side missions in my opinion are the shining star of SR2.
The overall gist of the game is the worst of the worst gang members, that includes all the hardcore rap, which ended with me turning off the radio with every car I jumped into. But like GTA, they had different radio stations, but the variety just wasn't there. Didn't like the music in this game.
The Hero ....or Villain is more like it, that you play is a down right asshole. There is nothing redeeming about his or her(depending on who you create to be your character at the start) character, Half way through the game I felt sorry for all the people that this guy was doing stuff too. Heck, even I wanted him dead. He's a inconsiderate murdering bastard.

Even the GTA guys weren't that bad. But the main character in this game..wow..what a douche, areshole, maniac. The guy that starts a fight for no reason and then gets upset when people retaliate( what did you think was going to happen when you poured acid on his face?) and makes him come out with a sense of entitlement that can only be matched by every bully in every movie ever made.
What makes GTA a better game overall, are the controls and feel of the game. The polish of GTA4 far out does that of SR2. Heck I could be driving a tank and a little car can drive underneath me and pick me and launch me in the air 50 feet. I did hear that this is what the developers were going for, more unrealistic driving and such. But it really works against the player, with countless times getting lifted from the road by much smaller cars. Getting stuck on sidewalks, Hell I once smashed into a invisible wall in the middle of the road..BAM..car stopped dead.

That and even having people getting stuck inside walls, the road, stuck in vehicles and I don't mean, they are sitting in a car and can't get out. I mean they are standing up in the car as if the car melded around their person. Alot of stuff like this happening throughout the game.
Does it make it unplayable? no..but it sure does make it stand apart from GTA4 in regards to its controls and feel.
Overall, it was a fun game, took me about 27 hrs to finish it, doing some side missions and then the main missions. oh yeah, one last thing...The graphics are high end PS2 quality at best. Its not the best looking game, but luckily its entertaining enough that this didn't really bother me, but I thought was not worthy all the same.
If you enjoyed GTA4 and want to try out a cheap fun game, than Saints Row 2 is for you, other wise leave it in the Bin.
Like this trailers say, the best thing in Saints Row 2 are the side missions, GREAT FUN!!

Play Worlds Biggest Pacman Game
Some guy had time enough on his hands to create the worlds largest maze for a browser based pacman game. Got time to waste, then waste it getting lost in this insanely huge pacman game. Click here to go the website to play.
L.A. Noire - A disclaimer & a quite lengthy rant.
Good. Now that this is clear, on to the quite lengthy rant. I have nitpicks on what's been shown so far (because I'm crazy about details) and this game's goal is going for extreme realism is characters and setting. I hold it to a higher standard and so have seen some few details that make me itch. These aren't stylized cartoons, they're "accurate" recreations.
They're going for detail and realism. Of course I don't expect the insane accuracy of Mad Men in recreating the period, but this is a digital medium, where you control how everything looks. So I CANNOT accept how the hats look. Just look at these two examples taken from game videos.
These hats are farking HUGE! The float on the character's head like they're two sizes too large! This is what I can't help seeing all the way though:
A kid playing at wearing his daddy's clothes. It's like watching a movie with bad ill-fitting costumes.
I went ahead and quickly fixed the hats. Looks so much better.
Another thing that bugs me about the hats, it that you would think that things with such wide brims would cast shadows underneath them. Everything else does! I can understand why, because they didn't want to "obscure" the actors pretty emotions. But it doesn't have to go all the way down the nose!
No definition shadows. Just a pristine face-mask.
A simple shadowed indication would not break the illusion. And that pristine face makes the meshing between model and face seem very disconnected to me. It makes me feel like I'm looking at Autons, from Doctor Who.
Autons, living plastic monsters who disguise themselves as mannequins. And kill you.
Another annoying detail: stupid ties. And this happens ALL OVER, not just in this game. Many of them in the game's images are correct (which makes me happy), yet one or two slips in there that's wrong. If you've been doing some right, how come you don't notice the wrong ones?? Here is what I mean:
WRONG! and physically impossible
Right! :)
Again, going on realism and accuracy (and simple physics) any pattern on a tie will be rotated 90 degrees on the knot. Simple observation. Not a hard equation to remember. It's not nuclear science here. And it's not like it happened by mistake. Someone put that texture in, and put it wrong.
So, that's pretty much it. Again, I am looking forward to the game and it looks awesome. Just having taken care of these details would have made it look perfect.
