Pac-Man Returns

Looks like there is going to a revival of the Good ole Pac-man game. No details has of yet, but from the looks of it, I guess we will be all about mulitiplayer. I love most all pac-man games and I look forward to more with this title.

Transformers - War for Cybertron

PS2 - What to do?

So now that I don't have a PS3 that is backwards compatible and I already have my shelf full with other systems. What do I do with my PS2? Do I hang on to it for that one day when I feel that need to play a classic game or get rid of it and sell it and all my PS2 games to some chap?

I have a ton of PS2 games that I really like and I still played them every once in a awhile. It was great to have friends over to play some old PS2 games. Now I have to unhook something to hook that up, its just too much hassle and not enough room to set it up to be convenient.

I'm not sure if its the recent loss of saved data and me selling some of my PS3 games off to friends that made me question holding on to my PS2 or just another era and moving on with the new. Anywho, I got a big collection of PS2 games. Some I really like and would still play if I was able too. Maybe hold on to them and hope that the PS4 will be able to play them??! But happy to say the my first generation of the PS2 works fine. (grumble at all the next gen systems)

Antics in Fable 2 - Evil Economy

As stated before I am playing as evil and forcing myself to do evil things. One such evil thing to do is to hike the prices up on everything, the rent and the shops. So currently I have enough money to buy the place 3 times over.

The down side is all my houses and shops look like shit and have crappy inventory. I"m sure the big evil ruler of darkness doesn't give too hoots about what the town looks like and what shape it is in. But guess what, that's poor business.

Why can't I be evil and be business smart?! Eventually I have to go to these stores to buy items that I need. When I get there they only have shitty items or not have them at all. It makes my quests that much more frustrating when I have to go looking around for a specific item when normally I could have gotten it there.

So yes!! I want to have a smart economy, this makes plain business sense. I can get what I want when I want it. So I lowered all the rent and prices of all my buildings to the starting level. As long has I don't go into the negatives I can still retain evil and corrupt status. Now I have to wait for the economy to recover.

Why would any one do this to their people,? think of all the tyrannical kings who abused their people and stole from them. Think of the story of Robin Hood (yes I know he's not real, sheesh). Your town looks like poop, there's no up-keep. Its harder to get things that you want cause all Bob the shop keeper is selling is rancid and flaccid celery sticks. Be fucking smart evil dictators!! Well, that said, I hope they read this blog and get their act in gear.

DEMOS - AVP - BFBC2

Demo's can be killers for games. It could mean the difference between selling it or not. This weekend after getting my PS3 up and running I was able to try the mulitplayer on both Aliens Vs Predator and Battlefield Bad Company 2.

I downloaded them on Xbox has well hoping that maybe online demos didn't require a Gold subscription so I could see any differences. But I need to get a Gold membership.

Anywho( and yes I will keep comparing all demos to the Batman -Arkham Asylum demo) unlike the Batman Demo that made me want to run out and get the game right away. I was super disappointed with AVP. The layout of the battlefield was very boxy. The way I remember the first unreal game, which wasn't bad at the time. But today, yes I understand that there are hallways and stuff. But it all felt like I was playing a old Wolfenstein FPS.

The game play wasn't that much better, it was worse. I am a decent FPS and with this I think I died 5-6 time in a row and maybe then get a kill. I spawn, die....spawn, die, the controls weren't tight at all.

And what's with only being able to choose a marine?!! I wanna play has the predator and alien, not the marine you dumb asses!! I played the marine, hes every other character in every other FPS.

If your going to release a demo and its called ALIEN VS PREDATOR. THEN I WANT TO PLAY HAS THEM!!!! Its simple, its like if they released the batman demo and all you could do was control the camera has the action played out. I think they dropped the ball big time on this demo. Based on the game play of the this demo alone and the mediocre reviews I can confidently say that I will NOT be getting this game.

A good thing about the game, the sound is awesome and I didn't have to wait to get online. On my first try I was able to connect and play.

On the other hand, we have Battlefield Bad Company 2 demo. This is how to do a demo, WOW!! fantastic! I can't say enough good things about this, a large level, defending and attacking points. The layout of the battlefield was fantastic, the controls were tight. Unlike AVP, where I was dieing 6 times in a row( I spend more time respawning then doing anything else) I was able to hold my own and feel like I was doing well.

What a great demo, I played 2 rounds and barely scratched the surface of what I was able to do and what was offered in the game. Its one of the best FPS demos I have every played. This game is on the must have list of games to get. I can't wait, its going to be awesome.

AVP - BLOWS
Battlefield Bad Company 2 - WOW!!

Antics in Fable 2 - Love Your Wife

Started playing fable 2 and I know its been reviewed to hell, so I won't do that. Instead I'll give updates has to what is going on in my Fable 2 world. To start, I am playing the game has a evil character. This is killing my morals. But here we go with my first tid-bit.

I needed to sacrifice people to the league of shadows, so I thought I would kill 2 birds with one stone. I came across a talking stone head who wanted to see a marriage proposal, so I found a woman, fluffed her up and proposed in front of the old perverted statue face. He was happy I got a new weapon and the wife was happy.

But then I was going to sacrifice her, but felt bad because she was giving me gifts and other "thiiiinngss, wink wink ,nudge nudge". So I said to myself, I won't sacrifice you, instead I will go to whore town, marry a whore and kill her.

So that's what i did and I thought to myself I will have unprotected sex with her, get her pregnant and then kill a pregnant woman. Now that is some bad ass evil shit. But this backfired and the baby was born the next morning. So now I had a baby and 2 wives. And my goodness meter was on the rise.

So I couldn't have this, so I tried to sacrifice my baby, no luck there. He laughed at my farts.Awwwww. So I decided to kill his mother and raise the baby as evil. This was my new plan. But after bringing her to the temple and sacrificing her to the shadow evil people. Child services came and took away my potential going to be evil daughter.

Well then, I said fuck that and went back to the original wife, walked her the temple and set her on fire. There, done and done, back to full evil again.

Tekken the Movie Trailer

This looks like if the Jersey Shore kids made a Kung-fu movie. I've never seen a episode of Jersey shore but from what I've read and the video clips, it can't be far from this nonsense. Maybe add Van Damn in there to class it up a bit.

Super Street Fighter 4 - New Faces

So footage of the new characters in action was released and this game (has much has I complained and hated on it in the beginning) is looking fantastic. Even more so since I lost all my saved data on my old game.

Screw You Sony and Little PS3

So I finally started to transfer the data from my old PS3 to my new one. I first did a utility back up to a FAt32 external and this process took 2 hrs and 30 min, not bad. Now I was ready to to try and do a utility data transfer via 2 PS3's. Moving the data from one PS3 to another via a Ethernet cable. (I had to try)

First thing that happens is I have to hook up both PS3's to the TV. Turn both of them on and with my old PS3 tell it to transfer the data. IT then tells me to deactivate the current PS3 via Internet....Really? I can't connect to the Internet. So because I want to try every option I can think of, I call Sony. They say that they can deactivate the account on their end.

Are you people even thinking?? How does that help me? Do you send special radio waves that my PS3 will pick up telling it that it is deactivated. ITS NOT CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET YOU TARDBALL! So now the account is deactivated but my old PS3 doesn't know that. It still wants me to connect to the Internet. This is what started the problem, it can't connect. Anyway, I won't go into all that again.

So I do the last resort. I plug in the external into my new PS3 and start a data restore. What took 2 hrs and 30 min to transfer too. Took 2 min to put the data on my new PS3. Sigh....So what I had to do was re-download all my DLC, add-ons, stand alone games, everything. I set it all up and let it sit overnight.

In the process I lost ALL saved data on 4 disc based games and 2 DLC games. With 2 of my disc based games I also have DLC for them that I would have to restart the game to enjoy again. This is not happening.

This pisses me off to no end. FUCK YOU SONY and your Stupid PS3 and shove it all up your asshole. I should be able to do what I want with my saved data. IF I want to shove it up a Saigon whores ass then I should be able to do just that. You have to come up with something better, even a exclusive Sony memory card that recognizes copyrighted data and ownership and allows transfers. Come on tech boys, be smart and do smart things.

Losing all that data was very disheartening. So I am going to see what I can get for resale value of the 4 games and if its less than 20$ than screw that. I will post them on Pacroid for game giveaways.

Dead Space 2 Armor

So this is the look of the new armor for Dead Space 2. Well just twaddle my Poop-hole with a fig tree!! This is ridiculous!! IT looks like some Japanese robot fighting crappy Anime cartoon. All the different colors, it looks like Michael Bay even got in there and said can you make it look like the transformers, all organicy??!

I hope that this one pic doesn't set the flavor for the rest of the game. Please don't mess up Dead Space!! With this first and major piece to the game, its not off to a good start. For me anyway. Now everyone join in to the theme song to Dead Space 2 ," Go Go Go Space Mooonnssterrrs, taking what life is not yoooouurrrsss to give.....But space will Treat you well in the end.....for he is SPAACCEE MMOOONSTTEEERRR HURRTTINGGG MAACHHIINNEE!!!"

Mega Man Does Street Fighter 4

Found these cute little Street Fighter 4 characters done in the style of mega man. I think its pretty awesome.

SSF 4 - 3 New Characters

So it was leaked that the 3 new characters will be from Street Fighter 3rd Strike. I must admit that I didn't play much of SF3rdS, only in the arcades. I thought it looked amazing but I didn't into get any of the characters. Especially the guy with no arms. I recognize 2 of the 3 characters, but I think they will add a nice compliment to a already impressive roster.

Dudley, which is another boxing type fighter. I hope he plays different than Balrog, but I guess it likes having Ryu and Ken.

Ibuki I remember playing the most out of all the characters. Her and Alex were my 2 favourites in the SF3 series. A great add.

Lastly, Makoto. I don't remember this guy at all. Maybe another Sakura type character?, I don't know, shoot me.

BattleField 2 - Moving On

I am looking forward to the new Battlefield, that's for sure. But before this new one I played alot of Battlefield 2 on PC's and all with Lan parties. Something that I haven't done in a long while, but there is something different when you are playing a group of people all in the same room.

There's more smack talk, more communication with team mates. You are really able to hammer defenses with only a small group of people when you are talking to each other.

This trailer brings back alot of memories.

Street Fighter 4 Asskickers

This is some pretty good fight animation. Music is pretty good, not some insane off the wall shit that you think is playing played in a insane asylum.

Beautiful Katamari - Xbox 360

I don't normally talk about a game until I have completed at least the main quest. But I don't think I will be able to even make it too the end with this game.

The premise the game is great ,I love the fact that you can roll items into a large ball until the ball is the the size of a planet, Genius!!!

So far I have completed 50% of the game and one thing stands out and that's the controls. I think its one of those Resident Evil 5 type of scenarios where the controls were made like that on purpose to compliment the game play design. So you made the controls hard and messed up has fuck so you could force the player to get mad has hell and throw the controller out the window?? Good job game designers, your awesome!!! Now once you are all done licking your own asses, MAKE A GAME WITH DECENT CONTROLS!!!

The entire control scheme is maddening. I know there's a learning curve but this is nuts! I shouldn't be half way through the game and still feel like I am fighting the controls. I should be used to them and have a good flow going on. TURN DAMN YOU, TURRRRRRRRRRRRRNNNNNNNNN!!!!! I think they thought the game was too easy to do with a modern control scheme and decided to make it so that the awkward controls are part of the game. I don't like games like that, "oh but the controls are suppose to be like that, its part of the game play"

Really, part of the game play?? Then this stick is suppose to be up your ass, its part of your ass!! Its FuN:)

The other part about this game and this has nothing to do with game play but more with me and my inner ear condition. I have a thing where I become dizzy and I don't have to be moving at all. I will have a split sec or 2 where everything shoots around the room, its fun stuff, really!! This is relatively new, within the past year and is taking getting used too.

But the game camera in this game with the quick juts and stabs around the playing field throws my head for whoppers. The last 2 times I play this game for any more than 30 min I get super nauseated and bleh. Just like if I had gotten off a amusement part ride that just got stuck and I had to ride it for 15 min while they figured out how to turn it off.

Its this reason that I don't know if I can finish the game. Maybe if I play one level a day, maybe then I could do it, but for right now the camera in that game makes me sick has a dog!! Its because the camera is all over the place and its not smooth, it gets stuck and jitters and moves in areas where I can't see things. Its horrible.

So other than those 2 GLARING THINGS, the game is quite fun and enjoyable. I hope I get to the end.

Oh yeah, I detest the music in this game. I am NOT a fan of Japanese themed style anything. This music made me think I was playing the Bayonetta demo again. But that being that, I can turn the music off and enjoy the game, no biggie.

Heavy Rain - Demo - PS3

Through the trickle of information from it's development, Heavy Rain has both intrigued me and left me indifferent. The virtual actress video released many months ago creeped the hell out of me, bringing memories of the Polar Express movie back.

I sometimes wonder if I have that problem because I'm in animation. Normal people don't seem to be affected by it. My parents LOVED Polar Express and thought it looked wonderful. They didn't see anything wrong with the characters... anyway, on with the review.

The following videos (the mall one with the balloon and the kid) didn't do anything to alleviate that Uncanny Valley creepiness. And there's a creepy clown. *jibblies*

Early after it's birth and during it's golden age, I was a fan of the point-and-click (which started out as type-and-read) adventure game. Yes, I'm that old. Shut up. This game has been described at times as an adventure game in the traditional sense. And previous games from that studio, which I have never played, were also hailed to me as being excellent by friends.

I just finished trying the demo and I have mixed feelings. But ... they are heading to a good place ... I think.

The stiff creepiness and frequent lack of animation add to a feeling of something's-missing. But on the other hand, looking at the scope accomplished, it feels like I'm complaining for nothing. It's odd. The world looks at the same time maddeningly realistic and impossibly fake. But it nevertheless is pretty damn impressive, just for the sheer undertaking.

The demo has two levels, one with an asthmatic private detective and the other one with an FBI agent with some high-tech futuristic glasses that can analyse and identify blood samples and DNA on the spot. I had a little trouble swallowing that last one. But, for the sake of entertainment I let it slide and was ok with it.

Heavy Rain Various

At first, the gameplay feels a lot like a convoluted long quicktime event. It was starting to even get a little annoying ... until I got into a frenzied fight that required constant manipulation and was truly intense. I was on the edge for the whole thing. The precise directions and button pressings do keep you engaged in the action. I just wonder on a long-term how it will hold up.

The demo lasted about thirty minutes on the whole. Not long enough to see the consequences to your actions that this game boasts. But it gives a good general idea of how the game operates.

Heavy Rain Screenshot

The clue searching with the glasses is pretty neat in the end. It gives a sci-fi feel to what's going on.

It does get the feel of an interactive movie. It feels a little passive, but not at the same time. It's hard to explain. Certainly, I've never played/seen anything like it.

On the whole, I was entertained and intrigued about the bits of the story that were presented in the demo and although I am not totally sure yet, I think I might pick the game up when it comes out.

Screaming Your Way to Victory

HAHAH, I could see this getting super super annoying if you actually had to listen to someone play this game. Great for a laugh, but my no means would this be something you sit down and play for any length of time.

I expect to see it released on the Wii within the year.

Special Editions

Seeing the trend has of lately with all these games re-releasing after a year with all the DLC for the same price has the regular game really does appeal to someone who didn't buy the original. This relatively new to the DLC era.

I mean there was no download extra levels on Mario or Donkey Kong then released again has a version that includes all that stuff. This is a trend that I really like. I am a person who really doesn't mind waiting a year for a game if I think they will re-release it with all the DLC. I would pay full price for that and in some cases its a reduced price.

I recently got Fallout 3 which included all the DLC which saves a person $50 if they bought the game alone. But I guess the downside is, you don't play it right away when its most popular, so online aspects may be weak or non existent depending on the type of game that it is. But that point really doesn't bother me so much.

With this knowledge ,there are games out there now that I was going to buy , but I think I will wait for the special edition which may or may not happen. But I am willing to wait and see.

FRANCIS IS MY NEW HERO

So after a little searching I found out this guy does a character and essential pokes fun at certain geeky themes. I got to hand it to him, its brilliant, I love it. He has a bunch of other videos, knowing they are all fake does take something outta of it, but its still funny has hell.

GOOO FRAAAANNCCISSSS!!!!!

WOW RANT - Fake or Real?!

Oh God, I don't know if this is fake or real. I mean its just so stereotypical to portray a WOW gamer has a fat guy with glasses with a horrible lisp and a Princess Leia Poster in the Background.
If it is fake, hes doing a great job. If it is real.......then ....then...I really don't know what to say. Funny either way.

Mass Effect 2 = Awesomeness

What I'm about to say really is nothing new- Mass Effect is a great game! That's right you heard it here... well... last but it took me a while to play through the damn thing. However here's something even more awesome! Sometime tomorrow there's gonna be free crap to download for your character! Free crap! A new suit and a shotgun that "violates treaties."

Not only that there's gonna be more stuff to download next month to make an already lengthy fun game length-ier and funner. Yep. Not words but that's how much fun it's gonna be. Too bad by next month I'll probably be way into Bad Company 2.... DOH!

Xbox 360 DLC - Why I Decided Not Too

With the recent death of my PS3 and not sure yet, exactly how much saved data I am going to lose it made me think.

I just lost a PS3 that I paid $800 on release day. I have a Xbox that I paid $400 4 years later. so now I am going to purchase a new PS3 for $300 and will lose all my saved data on some of my games. Games that I still enjoy but no way in hell am I going back to unlock all that stuff again. Also some DLC games that I will lose all my saved data and I have to download them all again.

What got me thinking, was this. I will not be replacing my Xbox when it dies, and I know it will, its only a matter of time. So if I download any DLC for the Xbox, I then lose all the DLC. I can't then turn around and sell the DLC games. They will be forever lost , stuck on my XBL account.

I don't agree with the making games that lock the saved data to one system. They have to come up with some other method than that. I own a game, I worked hard on it and I should be able to do what I want with my saved data.

To think that when my Xbox dies I will again have a bunch of DLC that I won't have access to unless I buy another Xbox. With the thought of having to replace all my hardware every 3-4 years makes me sick. Its because of that and I don't have money out the wazzoo,I have to choose one console to be my main console.

I enjoy the Xbox and its games, but I can't afford to pump money into something that has a 50/50 chance of dieing in the next 2-3 years.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4

Holy Shit! I know I posted about this before, but here is a little tiny bit more. Its great to see all these games go back to what made them classics. The same way the New Super Mario game did with the Wii.

Sonic has been having a bad run of it lately, hopefully this will restore him to his former glory.
Thanks to Beatfreaker with the heads up on this one.

Iron Man 2 Game Trailer

I didn't play the first game, only the demo and Iron man controlled like a frikken battleship turning flank. But from what I heard some new boys are in control for developing the second game and what I heard is that,"We know the last game sucked and we are going to make it up to the fans with Iron man 2". Bold statement, but I also heard the same thing from other developers talking about the steaming pile of shit they just crapped outta their ass and trying to sell it has face moisturizer.

But I do like the series, so here's hoping they get it right. Click here for the new trailer

The Year of MMO's

I have never played a MMO and the reason being is I just don't have the time to invest into a game that requires a ton of hrs to experience. Its this reason that I play maybe 1, sometimes 2 RPG's a year. Back when I had less responsibilities ,I put 110 hrs into Final Fantasy 9. I don't have that kind of time anymore, so I have to be more selective over what I play.

The other thing is paying to play online, because my play times are so sporadic, I can't justify paying for a month and only playing a total of 10 hrs. But there are a bunch of MMO's that are catching my interest that I MAY just give a go.

I would really like to play the New Star Trek MMO. Being a fan of the series and I do enjoy the space combat games, this one really does appeal to me.

Conan MMO, hack and slash. I really enjoy the Conan world and think it be pretty cool to chop dragons in half and sexy time with the ladies. Right after they turn into demons and I chop their heads off, great fun.

Starwars MMO, this is the one that I am seriously looking at. Really enjoy the universe and the back stories and character classes that are known since day 1. Its too bad its not a single player game.

A MMO that has been out for years now is City of hero's and City of Villains. I just like the idea of being a super villain and causing poopmarks on the city. But to know that there is going to be a console superhero MMO with the DC universe really makes me even more interested.

So those are the ones that are really on my radar, but again. Will I play them? Time and money is the big factor. Since I never played any MMO I think I would enjoy any one of them, but only time will tell.
