Law and Order Gamers

In the criminal justice system, the people are represented by extreme stereotypes and the people that play them. These are their stories.

Masters of the Universe Games

This just got me thinking after I finished my He-man doodles. This was once a big franchise of the 80's. Equal to Transformers, G I Joe, TMNT. But after the games jumped to NES, SNES, SEGA, etc, the games for these systems didn't exist.

I've looked and besides fan made games, there aren't any official Masters of the Universe games. Why not? Is it because no one knows how to handle it? Are they waiting for the next movie so they can make some lame ass game tie-in( I have my money on this one)

There are so many colorful characters and story lines, Heck! I be happy with a Lego Masters of the Universe game. But as far as I know all the games have been on everything prior to the NES.

Here we have it on the Intellivision, which I never played. Just the same 4 or 5 stages over and over, great back in 83.

Now we have He-man on the Commodore 64, which back then was mind blowing. I think the music would drive me batty.

And another C64 game, this time based of the movie with Mr Dulpf or Dulf Duffy. Looks simple enough.

As oppose to going back and fixing my entire post, I figure I keep it real. While I was looking for more video games videos. I found what looks like a video game based of the most recent cartoon show. It looks ....well it looks, make your own assumptions. I really don't remember anything about this.

I Play the PS3 Move

I didn't buy the move, but Jay over at BeatFreaker did. So me and Ian(Rowan) went over one night to get first impressions. When you hear about it all over the net, you hear conflicting reports that its just a glorified wiimote and its not responsive or its is. Well all I can talk about is how it worked for me.

First off, Jay picked up the bundle which came with a Move controller, a PS3 eye and the Sports game which as gladiator, archer and 4 more games and traded in a old PS3 controller for a $20 discount for a total of $80. It would have been $100 without the trade in. He also went out and got a second move controller because they say that its best experienced with 2 controllers.

So we started out with archery and watching Jay play it did look like any other Wii game with the Wii mote. But once you get it in your hands, holy cow is it ever NOT a Wii remote. This thing is so responsive almost the point of fault. It picks up on every little movement, so where you can do wild or little cheating motions with the wii remote and get results. The Move interprets your actions clearly and with precision. We followed this up with Gladiator which when compared with Wii boxing, holy cow. They don't even fall in the same category. Swings, left and right, high and low and blocking is all matched to a T. But if you get excited and start wilding swing around really fast then of course the Move looks at you like your a retard and goes"What the hell are you trying to do" If you hit like a girl, then it will show you hitting like a girl. Unlike the Wii, strength of how hard your character hits in the game, depends on how hard you swing your arm. You can try and cheat it, and fail horribly.

I remember when I first tried the wii and I liked it, but after I found out I could sit and tap the controllers back and fourth in boxing, I didn't get up and pretend to be boxing in the stance. This is where the move differs, you HAVE to stand up, you have to weave and dodge and swing with force.

We followed all this up the rest of the sports games and played a bunch of demos. All of which were very entertaining and while playing Eyepet, we made a plane out of a dick and balls. Our eyepet proceeded to climb on the plane while the dick spun around and around like a propeller and the dick plane took off with out little eye pet happy as can be riding it.

There was another gameshow game, which reminded me Buzz. You can put your face on the characters using the PS3eye and that too was funny as hell and really entertaining. Alot of the games were all much like this, really fun with a group of people and that's where the PS3 Move ends for me.

The tech of the move is undeniable, its responsive, its clear, its concise and as much as you want to try and cheat with it. It stops and says,"play it right you turd" For anyone who is saying different, I really can't agree at all. The tech is solid and amazing, it really blew my mind with how well it works.

What I don't like, are the selection of games. Sure they are fun with a group of people and I can see some games playing much like a game of solitaire is fun for those down times. But there is nothing currently out for the Move that would make me go,"I have to own this game with the move!"

I gave Jay the Gold Edition of RE5 to see how well it translates with the move, haven't heard back yet. It says that Socom and Killzone 3 are must have move games. Really? I will wait and see, but I must say that it is very promising. But currently I am not interested in the move with the current selection of games.

Also having played with 2 move controllers, its almost pointless to play with just one. All the games worked brilliant with 2 controllers, and to have just one???well,t would seem lacking. The gladiator, striking with one stick and blocking with the other. Archery has pulling the bow and arrow with both controllers. Table tennis works well with one controller, but over all it does seem very clear that most of these games are meant to be used with 2 controllers. For me its like I be losing out, they say you don't have use 2, but it really does make a difference.

In the end and overall, I really enjoyed playing with the move. But at this current state it still feels like a gimmick with a selection of Wii type games. I CAN see potential, but how Sony handles this, is left to be seen. I look forward to that game that makes me go,"I have to get this". Untill then, I am cool with the way things work.

Kevin Butler is Awesome!

You've Done it Again Japan!

Man marries video game character. Thanks Julio for bringing this to my attention, I can only assume you were looking into the details of marrying a video character for yourself(wink, wink). And how does sex work? Does he clamp the DS on his wang cause none of what I am hearing or thinking should ever be thought of by a sane person.

NetFlix Try Outs

NetFlix is now on the PSN. Whoooo hooo...I think. I don't really know, for some maybe. I went to give it a try, but never got past the connect screen. From what I can tell, its $7.99 in Canada a month for unlimited downloads/streaming of TV shows and movies.

It comes with a free trial but I can't even connect to their server. So I can't even give it a try. If its the sorta thing where I can't connect or get disconnect alot, then unlimited really doesn't matter. Getting disconnected in midstream and have it start over because it lost connection would become a pain in the ass.

But with the free trial I do intend to give it a go and see how it turns out. That is if I can even connect to get started.

Buyer's Remorse.....Maybe....?

I already have a handful of games that I have to finish to reduce my back log of games. So far its going pretty well. But like most gamers, getting a brand new shiny game makes you feel good. So I have been resisting buying a new game until I clear my backlog. UNLESS I find a deal on a game.

This weekend was that deal or so I thought. Normally I don't talk about a game until I have finished it, but this is a special case and after I do finish the game I will see if I still feel the same way about it.

In future shop I found Star Wars Clone War - Republic Heroes for $14. I played the demo and I really didn't like it at all. It was repetitive, handled poorly and didn't look good, but does offer quit a bit of extras. So I figured for $14 I can handle all that, I do enjoy the Star Wars universe so this will be a little trip in that direction with some annoyances here and there.

I hadn't got through the first level when the first glaring issue comes up. The game looks like shit, the textures on the characters, the background, the vehicles. All look like they have been drawn on with crayons, plus they pop in and out and shift and blur constantly and the shadows spike everywhere. This is pretty unusual for a Star Wars game, usually they look really good and the graphics ends up being one of the more redeeming qualities of the game. Not here, this looks like they took the visuals for the Wii/Game Cube and slapped them on a PS3 disc.

The the controls, Oh god the controls. I died 18 times trying to jump onto a speeder on the side of a cliff. I didn't have a clue what I was suppose to do, I thought the game glitched and I couldn't get to it. Then on my 19th try I land on the speeder, ...WHY? I didn't do anything different than before? This happens alot, sometimes you will make a jump, other times you'll fall to your death.

The story is so boring and when they use cut scenes, they were too lazy to even make their own. So they ripped them directly from the animated TV series. Its embarrassing for a Star Wars game.

I am 5 levels into the game and the only redeeming quality that it as so far is that there are a TON of extras and they are all pretty interesting and entertaining. But do they make up for the rest of the game? Hell No!

When I finish this game I will come back and talk about it again and see if it grew on me a little like some kind of mold. (Ugh, ignites lightsaber and stomps off.)

I love development videos and hearing producers and others talk about a game like its the next Halo. This guy is doing a great job talking out his ass. Somewhere in his little brain, doesn't he go"Man, this game is crap and now I have to go and tell them all its the next big Star Wars Game."

Highlites.

1)If I say Authentic enough times, people may start to believe me.

2)As you can see we are both playing here. (looks the the host of the show) We're playing Co-op right?

3)You can play everywhere and with Family members. (What does that even mean?)

4)After describing what the clone does, "grenade, shoot, melee, duck, run and cover, I can do whatever I need to do" NOPE, that's it. I played the game, the clones don't do anything else. Unless you are talking about, "Look, he can point North, now West, and even South. We are still working on East.

5)This one is a good one. I have to go back into the game and change the language, apparently Yoda speaking in German is the Life Changing!

6)As the host runs around in circles while being shot at the Producer says to him,"Yeah, nice work"

There you go, if you ever get into a fire fight, take the word of this guy. Run in circles.

Sumo Fighting Game

Thanks to Ron over at Flooby Nooby(how he found this, god only knows) Here is a Sumo Game...I think..maybe not. The next Capcom Vs Sumo's? Or Sumo Meets Dragon Ball Z game? This is Japan were talking about here, does it really have to make any sense. Just watch it and be prepared to have your mind blown.

3D Dot Game Heroes Gets a Patch

WOW!! WOW!! If you played this game or haven't played this game. This patch/update should make you poop your pants. I can't contain myself, alI I want to do is leave work and go home for today and pop this in and get the update.

Via Playstation Blog -Today a patch for 3D Dot Game Heroes , the ultimate throwback to the 8- and 16-bit eras of gaming. The patch adds 50 fan- and staff-created heroes, the ability to carry over certain swords to New Game+, and adjustments to the completion times for the Dash Circuit mini game. In addition, a bug fix restores previously absent loading art images so they will randomly appear and be viewable in the Loading Art Gallery.

lol, really what I am most excited about is the adjustment times on the mini Dash Circuit game, that mini game is brutally hard. Ridiculous hard, stupid hard, retarded hard, hard hard. I look forward to see what they did with it.

Plus 50 fan and staff created heroes, WOW. I can't wait. If you haven't gotten this game, its a great throw back to the old era of gaming. Fun as hell!

Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor - Kinect -Xbox 360

Remember this game from long ago? It cost $200 and came with one of the most bad asses controllers known to gamers. It had a huge set up with pedals and buttons and was made to make you feel like you were in the actual mech. Oh yeah, its a mech game, a bad ass mech game.

To hear that a new one is coming out for the Xbox made me shit my pants. YEAH!!!...what wait....its for Kinect?? So no bad ass controller?! How the hell is that going to work? Can I still play it with the regular controller? or is it only going to work with the Kinect??

I want this game, I don't want Kinect. You see the dilemma this presents.

Rumoured Games Coming to HD.

Since the success of the God of War being remade for HD we are hearing alot of buzz for other games being redone and handled in the same way. The price and extras and having it all look pretty is a great bundle for any gamer. Here is the list and what I know so far.

Mortal Kombat Trilogy
It will contain the first 3 Mortal Kombat games, all redone to look pretty in HD but no extras known yet. The price point of $39.99 me no likey. I have all 3 of these on the PC and I rarely go back to play them. I have no interest of having them on HD.

Prince of Persia Trilogy
I don't know which one they are going to start with. The old commodore game(i don't think so) or the SNES to the PS1? Too little is know currently, but a trilogy does sound fun. Again I already played all the PS2 version so having them in HD doesn't interest me, much like the God of War Collection.

Splinter Cell Trilogy
I never played any of the Splinter cell games. So fans of the series will be pretty happy, for everyone else, its up to you if you are jumping on the HD remake train. I think I will pass on this aswell.

Metal Gear Solid Trilogy
This is rumored to maybe come out in individual parts but doubt it. I only every played the first MGS and haven't touched any other. I know they are good games, they just don't interest me. So again, another one I will probable pass if it comes to HD, but who knows.

Sly Cooper Trilogy
I will probable get this one. I never played any of the series, but I do like the style and type of game that it is.

So there you have the list so far, which ones will get made and which ones are wind blowing up your bum!

This is Why BlockBuster is Going Bankrupt

Fantastic, way to go and take the initiative and don't let a missing game case stop you from renting games. You know what, if all games had these types of titles, I probable rent from blockbuster. Or perhaps this is the reason why they went bankrupt?

Dumb Action Games Make You Smarter

Well well well.... according to this article my broken monkey brain may be smarter than the average bear for playing me dumb games. Just have a look at this sweet quote:

Cognitive scientists from the University of Rochester set out to see if games improved decision-making. And they weren't thinking of smart games like Sim City or Civilization. The researchers wanted to see if there was a relationship between improved decision-making and the loudest, brashest, most action-packed—some would say dumbest--games around.

So there you have it. We're all smart... so lets go play Grand Theft Auto 4, kill a hooker and drive a car off a cliff... all in game of course ;)

Demon Souls Comes To Greatest Hits

There are alot of titles that hit the greatest hits mark but this game is one that I've been looking over for some time now. Everyone says its a great game, HARD but a great time. Now you can get it for $29.99 and even cheaper in some places, it seems like a game that all gamers should own. I will be picking this up some time soon.

Please Help Me Understand

So I guess there was a lot of new things released at the Tokyo game show. One of those things is a NEW?? Super Street Fighter? I'm confused. First there are new costumes for the characters, but its list them has Japanese/Arcade version?

So only Japan will get these costumes? I don't think so, I think this will come to current version.

The other are new characters but they are listed under Super Street Fighter 4 ARCADE EDITION???? So are they releasing YET AGAIN another version of street fighter with more characters??

IF so than its all bullshit, its just another way of Capcom really raping the consumer. This is all speculation at the moment, but is it just japan? Will these be DLC? Are they going to release ANOTHER version in North America with another 10 new characters with more Super moves for all characters and new backgrounds and new multiplayer options??

You do this once Capcom and I will let it slide, you do this every time you want to release a Street Fighter game and you can shove it up your ass. But I don't know enough yet to make a decision, its all "WHO KNOWS" But it looks like we are getting a new Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition from what I can tell. Not happy! unless I can get it for $15.

More Characters for Marvel Vs Capcom 3

I expected Spiderman to be part of the game and I welcome Wesker, good choice I think.

Bioshock Infinite

The first gameplay for Bioshock Infinite came out recently and it's looking mighty good.

Now, I love theses alternate timelines. My only problem with the previous Bioshock games is that I have to force myself a lot to ACCEPT these universes. They are so remote from the period they are supposed to be set in that it requires effort from me. So I guess that makes immersion in this universe less natural.

Same goes for Infinite. It's way too hard for me to believe that the time's technology could produce a floating city of this kind. And that the people would behave as such. BUT ... I love the way it looks!

Anyway, the gameplay looks fairly similar to the Bioshock franchise except with less radio-talk and people behind glass. Which was starting to get on my nerves. So that's a good move.

I love the mechanical horse at the beginning!
The lady looks odd though. Her proportions are weird.

T.Hawk You Cheap Bastard

So I am slowly going through Super Street Fighter 4 and finishing all the story modes of all the characters. There are the characters like Makato that I have to go back and do again because apparently she handles like that old woman in the handicap zone.

Then there are characters that when fighting against with a particular character just results in a head bashing time. Like Rock, Paper, Scissors or Fire Pokemon vs Grass Pokemon. There seems to always be something that is very effective against a certain type.

In this case I was playing as El Fuerte and doing pretty well until I met T.Hawk. It resulted in a battle that was just as effective has trying to light a fire on top of water. I couldn't do anything, it seemed every move I did he had a counter 4.

So to help me explain this, Blosh was nice enough to demonstrate some of these moves that just kept pummeling me again and again and again.

Here we see T.Hawk preforming the Tomahawk Buster, leaping into the air when I even try to jump towards him. Which just sends me back on my ass. It would make sense if I was playing on Hard or super hard but this was medium. If I did manage to get close to him which was also a horrible thing, then I was met with his other annoying move.

So I figure I'm not going to jump towards him with my special moves, I will instead do my running grabs or slide along the ground to get to his feet. But Aaaaapppparently, if you get within any distance of him he does the Mexican Typhoon. He grabs you and spins you around and around and slams you into the ground. It takes a shit load of life away from you, if he catches you with this, it takes almost a 1/4 of your life away.

I couldn't do anything, he would grab me in mid move, if I slid in he grab me, he catch me in mid air. I could not get near him because it always resulted in getting grabbed. I'm running outta ideas here as to how to attack him. (yes, if I had fireballs, I be spamming the shit outta them about now)

So I try to sit back and do little pot shots, or the only one that would reach anyway. No jumping, no going in close for El Fuerte grab moves. Just crouching in the corner and tap, tap, tap. But nope, can't do that. What he does is jump into the air, and Condor Dive towards me to close the distance and then do his stupid grab moves. God dammit.

It seemed that all his moves countered or superseded mine. Yes, I could do the El Fuerte counter air move when he Condor Dives in, but it seemed that his move trumped mine, regardless of who did theirs first.

It was a long and frustrating battle and I hate that frikken feather wearin ding bat. 1 hr and 36 min I finally get past what should have been no more than 2 min long. What did I learn from this? IF you want to counter El Fuerte and make it look like you are fighting new born babies, then T.Hawk is your man. Or perhaps I just suck that bad! But I like to think that I could take newborn baby.

What's that baby? MERCY!!???
I don't believe in MERCY!!!!(kicks newborn baby in the nads-{its a boy baby})

Spiderman Shattered Dimension Conflicts

I am interested in most superhero games and its been a while since we had a really GREAT Spiderman game. They have ranged from, awful, to it won't make your eyes bleed. Finally,(they say that with every new Spiderman game) we have the game that brings Spiderman back into the light.

Nope, maybe, I don't know. Depends on who you ask, what I can say is that I really don't mind waiting to get this game second hand 3-4 years down the road. They say its the best Spiderman game since they were really good. But that's not saying much, that's like saying eating the shit nuts on your steaming pile of turds is better than actually eating the shit itself. Too far?!!! ..I don't think so.

IGN - 80/100
Some of the levels and boss battles are phenomenal. Beenox took a lot of chances with this game, most of which paid off in something unique and refreshing. Some old issues (bad camera, repetitive combat) still haven't been completely solved, but the good far outweighs the bad.

1UP - 75/100
The change in combat options is a welcome addition, I just wish that the story had delivered on the comic legacy of one of Marvel's more enduring heroes.

GameTrailers - 70/100
Design- 6.9 Story-5.5 Gameplay-7.2 Presentation-7.9

Destructoid - 60/100
There's so much amazing fan service here, that enthusiasts simply shouldn't miss it. Despite its extremely obvious and repetitive nature, it's also a decent amount of fun, provided you play it in small doses.

Sony Responds to Lawsuit

Well Sony as finally responded to the being sued for removing Linux from its operating system. You can click here to read the details, but the jist of it is this. Owners of the PS3 are provided with license for the software we use and not ownership. That they can change what the software is and how it works with any update they see fit for the system.

This reminds me of how Wii Virtual games, we are told that we are buying licenses to play the game, not the actual game. Which is fine, just to link it to ONE and only ONE system.

I look forward to seeing how this all turns out, especially with comments about the people suing, one guy didn't use Linux for almost 2 years, another talking on forums about not even knowing the PS3 had another OS. Of course there are going to be morons who will try take advantage of this and yes there are people( as small number they may be) who do legitimately us the Linux.

Snoop vs LL Cool J-Halo Reach

Awesomeness is this:

ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Comes the PS3

Well pull up pants and put on some eyeshadow. I didn't get the God of War Collection becuase I already own the games on the PS2. Where as I don't own either of ICO or Shadow of the Colossus and look forward to seeing them in splendid HD.

RPG's - The New Sex Ed

What game is this?! Is it real? If so, then the writers had to know what it sounded like? No need to watch the video, just minimize it and listen to it in the background. It sounds ....its ...its fucked up. I want to blame this on Japan, but I'm too lazy to go look this up. So as far as I am concerned the story goes like this.

There are two sexually confused kids who want to have sex, but they can't figure out which is the boy and which one is the girl so to be safe they decided to do the other one in the back then and try and explain it all in graphic detail.

So there you go, no need to go look up facts. psshhh. Just take my bold faced ignorance for pure fact finding fun.

Platinum? Da-huh?!!

Look at this!!

Yes! I got my first PLATINUM trophy! I can't believe it! And I got an even 500 trophies!

This required more work then I've ever put into any game. And I have to say, I was a little under-whelmed. I was expecting a bit of fireworks when it happened or a little bit more fanfare. Still, I'm proud of it, as much as getting a virtual thing for playing can make you proud. ;)

But still, I've achieved it and one's good enough for me.
I got it playing Prince of Persia: the Forgotten Sands, which I'll be reviewing next.

Gosh, it's been a long time since I did a review. :S

The Nintendo Wii Does What Now?

Why didn't I hear about this?! I didn't realize living under a rock made me miss things. You think big things like this is what defines a console from others. For example, The PS3 was known for being really expensive with no Games, The Xbox 360 was known for the Red Ring of Death. I had no idea that the Wii had one of its own, WTF moments(ongoing moments)

What the hell was I doing for the past 4 years! I mean I don't own a Wii personally but my son as a Wii, so there is a Wii in my household. The past few months I have really began considering getting a Wii for myself, I really enjoy the Mario, Zelda and Metroid games and there are a hand full of others that I would really like to try. But my thoughts were,I already have too many games on other consoles that I have to get through, the last thing I need is to add another system and library of games that I will never get too.

But then I started looking more at the Nintendo Store and the virtual console. They have alot of games that I would really like to play casually, most of them are old NES, SNES games. But to be fair I have all of them already on a emulator so it be kind of redundant to get them again. But its the convenience and impulsiveness of the idea that I like.So I was really started to get interested in the whole Wii thing and the price point is fantastic.

That was until this morning when I spoke with a friend at work who told me a story of his Wii. His old Wii had died and he had some virtual console games on it. (I thought OK, no biggie, just download them again on your new Wii) NOPE!!!...can't do that. (What do you mean)

After he got his new Wii, he called Nintendo to ask them for help regarding getting his DLC back on his new Wii. I could not believe what I heard next. Nintendo Help said,"You can't get your games back, anything you download from the virtual console is linked to that specific Wii, so if anything happens to it, you lose all your games as well"

WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT??!! Really?!?! This seems like the biggest fuck up of all time! Who the hell thought this was a good idea!!? So I went to the Internet to see if this is still a problem. What I got are people complaining that you can't even do transfers and the more tech savvy hacking their Wii's to get them to play pirated versions of the game.

Well I'm sorry, but if I had any reservations about getting a Wii ,then the virtual console system just killed it right there for me. I already have all those games on the PC so it doesn't really matter, but this system that the Wii has set up is inexcusable. Its like every system has to have its own WTF ideals, something so ridiculous that just makes you make a lemon face and shake your head while you take your pants off to ride to mechanical seal. Whats going on now?

There is no excuse for this, both the 360 and PS3 can re download their DLC. Its not a foreign concept. Pull your pants up Nintendo and start using common sense.

Demo Day

A bunch of new demos were launched this past week and I was looking forward to getting around to playing them all, boy was I ever disappointed.

Quantum Theory

Nothing like the TV show Quantum Leap, this is a FPS and right from the beginning I dislike everything. The main characters voice who sounds like Duke Nukem (which I really like) that is trying to be serious and just comes across has very lame.

Then the overall look of the game, its like Michael Bay's Transformers exploded all over the place. It all has that organic seaweed look to everything, the buildings, the creatures, the armor, the guns. The worst part, it doesn't even look that great, so we end up with shitty looking seaweed everywhere.

The controls, you get a partner that runs around with you, a person that you can literally throw at enemies to preform combo moves. The hit detection is horrible, there are times where I am around a corner and I think I am in the clear and I throw her at a enemy, but NOPE. She hit the wall, BUT the enemy was still able to shoot me. Yup, makes sense to me. This demo did nothing for me and if anything made me well aware of how shitty this game is.

TerRover

This game actually has a very pleasing visual style to it which makes it nice on the eyes. For me, that's where it ended.

This game is a product of where they had a decent little game and someone at some point said, this game is too easy. We have to change how people play it. So instead of letting people press left to go left. Lets have them press square to move forward and then if they want to go right, they first have to press right on the D-pad and then square and if we want them to pivot up, we have them press back on the analog stick and forward to pivot forward and if we want them to invert there driving position we have them press up and down on the direction pad and L2 to stop and X to jump.

Why not have you move forward with the direction Pad, pivot with the Right analog stick and have the buttons for jump, stop and invert wheels?!?!?! This game would play SOOOOOO much smoother if the controls were like this. Instead you are playing mumble jumble trying to get your brain around what to do to make it through a level.

But I understand that this premise and control scheme is the whole point of the game. How fast can you make it through this level using the control scheme we have laid out for you to use.
Based off this alone was enough for me to rip my hair out and kick the game to the curb. Which is sad because it looks like it could be a cute little game.

Legend of the Guardians: Owls of Ga'hoole - The Video Game

I would love to tell what I thought of this game, but I can't. Instead I will tell you what I did see.........a black void of nothingness. The demo did work, I tried it 3 times. Deleted it, downloaded it again and install it and tried it another 2 times and each time I was meet with a black screen that didn't go anywhere.

Ian can confirm that the same thing happened to him when he tried to play the demo aswell. Seems like a pretty big problem and they should get their asses in gear and fix this. Although the store as its rating pretty low, but that is probable because people are rating the broken demo that won't play?!

So yup, demo didn't work, but the blackness was awesome!!!

There you go, 3 demos, 3 disappointments, for me that is. Some people may really like TerRover, I just can't get around the control scheme and Owls of Ga'hoole may be a great game. Cause all games ending in "THE VIDEO GAME" are known for their greatness!!

Haunted Zelda game

I often wondered what this generations ghost stories would be like. Usually it's about some monkey paw with the mysterious power of screwing one over like that Precious girls mom, or some old dude's head peering at people in the middle of the night.

But this generation is different. Energy drinks keep us gamers awake all night, and we're too involved with the screen to even notice a ghost helping itself to a sandwich at any hour. So what are the new ghost stories? I give you a haunted Zelda Cartridge. Now I don't want to hear "It's obviously fake".... well.... of course it is! Most of these things are! It's just a fun well thought out and executed ghost story. It's kinda like saying "Paranormal Activity" is fake..... duh...

If you're like me and you've read this far then you love a good creepy story then you'll really get a kick out of this. It starts off with a poor fella obtaining the classic N64 game Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask. Seems pretty lucky right? Wrong! This game is haunted! Haunted son!!

The video is broken into three parts (Day Four, Ben, Drowned.) Read the story in the description part of youtube before watching the videos. It's a lot better than Paranormal Activity and a lot shorter.

Here's the list again (in order) :

Pretty soon the new ghost stories will consist of the ghostly apparitions of some fat World of Warcraft nerd that killed himself over the death of his character or some kid that got run over by a bus because he wasn't paying attention while crossing the street, playing pokemon, and drinking Mountain Dew. I can't wait for the new ghost stories!.... So post 'em if you find 'em!

Super Street Fighter 4 Costume Pack

This is why DLC is dangerous. As much has I hate the online community of Street Fighter Hardcore Ryu's and Ken's. I do enjoy playing the game with friends and single player (Fuck you Makato). Something I enjoyed with all fighting games are the extra costumes that you unlock doing random things.

DOA: Hardcore had you unlocking costumes by playing that character a specific number of times. Others had you unlocking them by finishing their story line or by finishing all the characters story lines. So needless to say I do enjoy the alternate outfits.(simple changing the color scheme.{Capcom Vs Anything} does not apply.

I understand to have have these alternate outfits, they have to be designed and modeled and tested. So the days of a character having 4 different outfits are long gone and we are lucky if we get 1 extra outfit. Which disappointments me greatly, for me that is a big part of fighting games.

So what does Super Street Fighter 4 do, they release outfit packs and charge you for them. Poo on a stick, this is what a heroine addict must feel like. I have to get those, but they are far too expensive and I really don' t need them.

So the other day I see all the costume packs for all characters rolled up into a nice little bundle for $17.99 and I snap buy it like that. It was like my brain wasn't in control, before I knew it, I had clicked buy and download NOW, Done.

Well now I have all the outfits for all the characters. But apparently they are only the second batch of outfits they don't include the first batch that was released with the first Street Fighter 4. Dammit brain, this is what happens when you don't read shit!!

Now today I see that they are releasing more outfits. Diddly fucking skiddlwinks!! Really?! I probable won't be buying these as individual packs, but when the set is released at reduced cost, I'm sorry to say that I won't be able to stop myself.

I guess its better than giving money to Activision........ahhhhhh, that thought makes me feel better. Good, I don't have Transformers or COD or the new Spiderman but now I can see Cammy in some weird up the bum outfit. So here are the new outfits just in concept form so far with gangsta Ryu (lame) and what the hell is Cammy wearing?
