Beyond Horrible

I hate to even bring notice to this, but I feel that people should be aware of this kind of thing. Perhaps when I was younger I probable wouldn't have cared and just laughed it off. But watching this, I thought it be cute, maybe funny. But then the video started and my mouth just flopped wide open. There is funny and being a pain in the ass(which I excel at) then there is being this.

This isn't funny, on any level. To the the kids in the room egging her on, to her parents (no parents aren't the correct words for them,) Her Handlers who feed and clean up her shit are all fucked up in their Mangina's!

There is a generation of gamers growing up today that think this is the proper way to play online and its standard, comes with the territory and for the most unfortunate part, it probable is. What the stupid thing is that he gives his PSN ID. Even though its not doing the cursing, just send Sony the his handle along with a link to this video and BAM, I'm pretty sure he get the boot for abusing the system or something along those lines.

All you have to do is watch, 10-15 secs in the middle of the video to get an idea. Why watch the whole thing? Its pointless, just a little girl screaming stuff she shouldn't be.

Xbox Live is Going Up, Up and .........up some more.

Thanks to Game Fudge for this little rant this morning, they posted a piece and I started to comment on and it became a little long winded. So here is my take on the whole thing.

Microsoft is increasing the price of Gold Memberships by $10, apparently its only in America right now but we can rest assured that its gonna be coming to Canada and other places soon enough. To do this right before the next COD : Black Ops just forces people to go, "well, I need to play this game" and if we learned anything about COD players is that you can rap shit on a stick and call it COD and they will eat it up like Candy.

In a market where its competitors are offering similar services for free with the major drawback being they don't offer cross game chat, people really need to put it in perspective. When is enough, enough? and people go, I refuse to pay for this. I like what IGN is doing with the Playstation Plus, they are for an entire year, keeping track of all their purchases and savings and at the end of the year, seeing if the savings alone is enough to justify the full price membership.

This article will really help others to see if indeed this service is well worth it. Currently I am not on the fence about it, I am clearly in the No thank you, but I am interested to see how it all pans out.

Currently, I assume 99% of all Xbox users will probable renew their subscriptions. Why? because all their games and all their friends already have a established online gaming community set up and too lose all that is real pain in the ass for any gamer. If all of a sudden I couldn't play my online games with my friends on the PS3, that would take away a very large chunk of play.

Its a shitty deal for gamers and it almost forces them to continue to pay because they already have everything set up. Its almost like a crack dealer and addict. Now that they've had years to increase their friends list and buy a ton of multiplayer games, they have no choice to pay, or lose all that they have built up.

Its crappy and Microsoft can say all they want about economy and need to increase prices, when it all comes down to it, its because they Can and they Will because we live in world were Greed rules all.

Worst Street Fighter - Makato

Perhaps this is one of those instances where if you are NOT a hardcore Street Fighter gamer but rather someone who enjoys the franchise, then perhaps I am not playing the character the way it is meant to be played and there for fail miserable at it. Which is the case with this.....piece of crap.

I started going through Super Street Fighter 4 and trying to finish all the individual stories of all the characters. So when I get to Makoto, I didn't even finish it. This character is going to be the last one that I do. I spent over 2 hrs trying to make it past her round 4 and 5 opponents. What the hell was I doing wrong?!!


I feel again, like I am missing some fundamental flaw of the character, am I suppose to play her with my eyes closed, perhaps I should sell a tower before I use her like in pixel junk. I don't know, she baffles me as a character.

All of her moves are useless, each move leaves her open to attack way too long for her opponent to strike back. She's way too slow, she side steps back and fourth the ground like some senior citizen who wandered too far from the old folks home. Her range seems like the shortest out of all the characters, I do a kick at an opponent which I know others can hit, figuring that she can have a move that can tap them at the right moment. Instead she throws her punch, misses-DOESN"T even contact, character is too far away and gets hit in return.

I looked up online to "How to play the character". And the one move where she grabs her opponent and holds them up in the air. I was told that his move and her dashes is the reason that you play Makoto. Really?? I tried this, you literally have to be nose to nose to a character to get this move to work. Which really makes it hard when fighting grapple characters.

Another move where she punches straight up into the air, STRAIGHT UP!! How is this helpful?? Maybe against Bison's foot stomp, or Honda's butt slam but that's it. Unless the opponent is coming straight down on her head this move is pointless. Then she has a move where she karate chops the ground, but the only damage she does is when she hits the ground and the opponent has to be ballz deep next to her. Besides that, the wind up and execution of the move leaves tons of time to react and counter.

Ryu's uppercut punch just happens, boom!! You hit the buttons and the move starts and its deadly from the start. This move is is the opposite, hit the buttons and she winds up and follows through and boom, hits the ground. The opponent as enough time to dash away, jump up or punch her in her stupid karate face.

The only move that is remotely usefull is her dash punch, where she can dash a little over half the screen with a powerful punch. But if you miss or are blocked, your screwed. This move is flawed in the fact that it is meant to contact otherwise you are left wide open for any attack.

I tried to play her, I really did. Being patient, waiting for the right time. But even that, her range is the killer, she has none. You get one chance to strike when the opportunity presents itself, but if you think you are close enough and end up being not, then its all poop on stick.

After 2 hrs and only getting to round 5, I gave up. All the others have taken me on average 20-30 min to finish their story mode. 2 hrs is a little excessive, I know I have to go back to finish her stupid story mode and rip my hair out while trying to do so.

Makoto, you suck and go down in history has one of the worst playable street fighter characters I(ME) have ever known. Go suck on a Gull's ass!

6 Degrees of Game-er-ation

Ever have the oddest thing just pop into your head and then it develops into some random story that is just as entertaining as Michael Bay wanking one out to demolition videos?


This was my thought this morning when I was getting breakfast. I got sausages which somehow lead my brain train to Zelda, the game.

So there you go, please Go from Sausages to Zelda in 6 turns. I'm sure I don't need to explain any further on how this works, if I do then you need to leave this site and go play some more farmville on Facebook!

Demo Day

Every now and then I get the urge to download some demos and spend a evening playing them. If it wasn't for my crappy Internet connection I probable play alot more, takes forever for them to download, that I spend half my time downloading and installing.


Shank
-I really love the art style, its kinda like the drawings that I like to do. The animation is all symbol based and really well done. It almost looks like it was animated in Flash, but done pretty good. The ingame animation of characters are done really well and the overall look and feel of the game reminds me of castle crashers. But although they looks similar in regards to how it looks, that's where it ends.

Its a side scroller beatem up, but for some reason it just didn't hook me. When I say beatem up, you can't move up and down the screen, its a linear straight line across the screen. Which is ok, nothing wrong with that. I don't know what it is, but I am just not into the game. It kind of reminds me of Matt Hazard in gameplay, another game that didn't catch my eye.

Also the $14.99 price point doesn't help make it a impulsive buy. If you are on the fence after playing the demo, I say just wait for it to drop in price which it probable will. Unlike some demos that get your right away and make you go,"I got to have this". This demo did not do that.



Press Your Luck
-Remember this old game show back in the 80's? The one where they say,"No whammies, No whammies" and if it did land on a whammie, some silly animation would play depicting this character removing all that person money.

Well, this game sucked. It looks horrible, its not fun and should be free. I can't believe that people got paid to make this game. I think they made it in a month, someone really pushed to have this made and it really shows. Its not worth $9.99, infact its not worth $0.99. There are better free games on the Internet that this.


Maybe if you are a hardcore fan, and I mean you lived and breath this show and have old VHS tapes with episodes of this show on them, then this game is for you. For everyone else, leave this alone.



Mag-Beta
-I didn't read the fine print, I just saw, demo-Mag:beta. So I thought I give it a try. It seemed weird that it was only 36MB. When I installed it and started it up, it then said,"please insert disc"

I am confused, it said,DEMO. Why do I need a disc? did I miss something? So me not reading the description it is a demo that is only for people who own the actually game. Way to go and get new people interested!! Just give me a minute so I can buy the game so I can play your demo!

So that's as far has I got with that one. Good job guys!!



That concludes my demo day, nothing that made me want to buy anything. But I still have 3 DLC games that I have to play anyway, no need to buy more.

My 15th Platinum - Lego Harry Potter:Years 1-4

I'll do a official rant on this game in a different post, this is just to post my 15th platinum. Overall this one wasn't the easiest platinum I got, but it definitely wasn't the hardest by no means either. The most difficult trophy to get here are collect all 200 gold bricks. The only reason this one is difficult is because there are bugs in the game that really mess with the player.

It seems simple enough to find all the gold bricks because like all Lego games you get detector boxes that point to where a hidden items is. The only thing here is that it will sometimes point to a location where you already were, making you think that there is another Gold brick in the area when infact there is nothing there.

Other times when you do collect a brick the marker telling you where the brick is doesn't disappear. Its all a big pain in the ass, I was lucky enough that I only had this happen within the games levels themselves and not in the free roaming world.

I was talking with Ian about the number of games I own compared to the amount of trophies I have. Well that's different, cause I own at least 8 games that doesn't offer trophy support and 25 that do. So that's not bad, out of 25 trophy supported games, I have collected 15 trophies. Plus there are 2 other games in that 25 that I want to try and platinum aswell.

Have to wait and see if that's possible or if it will be a big pain in the rear.

Lego Starwars 3 - Clone Wars

Seeing has I am ballz deep in the current Lego Harry Potter game, I thought this trailer was a nice "Look forward" too addition. I sure hope its not as buggy has the Harry Potter gamer. But it really does look much more detailed. I wish they would have went with a new theme. Sure I like the starwars lego games, but I think they are afraid that if they go with one that doesn't sell like hotcakes they will just chalk it all up to,"ok, were done.. no more lego games". Unlike the movies were we get part 9 of some crappy ass movie.



The most annoying part of this trailer is the voice over guy,"Like never before" I'm coming for you Mr voice guy and I'm gonna rip your voice box out and rub my nuts on them LIKE NEVER BEFORE! :)

My Marvel Vs Street Fighter Game

If I were the head honcho in charge of choosing what characters were going to be in the next genre of fighting games from Capcom. Then I would make it Marvel Vs Street Fighter. And the first thing I would do is get rid of all staples. My game wouldn't contain Ryu,Ken, Akuma, Sakura, Sagat or that new old guy- Oh My GOd!! what will people do, now that I taken away there beloved Ken and Ryu?!! Which character will they spam now?! Here is my list with reasons why I would want them.
Spiderwoman - To replace Spiderman who's been in every Capcom Vs game since day one. With a little twist of venom blast I think she make a interesting variation on the Spider character.

Rolento - One of the few characters that doesn't shoot fireballs from his hands or feet but more based on actual weapons. A odd character to play which makes him that much more appealing to me.

Nightcrawler - I love the fast agility and teleporting powers that can create some pretty awesome looking combos, a great hit and run character.

Blanka -A great defensive character when used correctly, unless your playing someone spamming fireballs from across the screen.(you get the feeling I get annoyed with fireball characters?)

Loki - To add some much need magical power of the Gods to the mix, I think loki would make a great addition to the marvel villains.

Charlie -I like Guile, but I like Charlie more. It changes up a staple we've been playing with for ages. I look forward to playing this guy(what am I talking about, this game isn't happening. or is it????.....nope its not!)


Dan - I figured I throw in a fireball(sort of) character so Ryu/Ken users don't have a brain hemorrhage wondering what to do when playing online against others.


Crimson Viper - I like the cut of her Gib. A great new character that is pretty damn playable with great attacks and boobs. I mean boobs.

Captain America - Another character I figure I keep from the old roster. Don't know, something about the classic colors and iconic image he has that I like. Does Canadian a have a Captain Canada? OH yeah, we do....he sucks Goose Ballz.

Oro - For years I thought he had one arm, but apparently he ties one behind his back so he doesn't accidentally kill his opponent when fighting, now that's bad ass. Perhaps If I let Ryu back in ,if he could tie one of his arms behind his back. Go ahead and throw a fire ball now you dirty bastard.

Blackheart - I loved this character when he first appeared in games, his sounds and moves were all pretty cool looking

Blackcat - I think she make a interesting addition to the marvel roster. She could throw cats at her opponents. I honestly don't even know if she has powers or if shes just a girl in a black suit with a grappling gun. I still play her......if you know what I mean..........no ..not that. get your mind outta the gutter....perverts!!:(

Beast - The strength and speed and agility that is beast could really make for some awesome moves and combos. I've played versions of him in the 3D realm but always seem a little slow. He should quick and powerful.


Balrog - Used correctly and he's a pain in the ass, he can even get around fireballs, but the timing to do this is pretty critical. So smash your opponents into the wall with MR muscles here.


Alex - To substitute Zangeif I figure I throw in another 3rd strike character. I really liked this character but every time I played him in the arcade some dingbat would join and pick Ryu/Ken and kill me. God I hate those two.

Dr Doom - Can't play marvel without badass Doom, not the whiny Doom from the Fantastic 4 movies.

Adon - I really like Adon, I like the look and his move set is very unique with jumps and twist. Jumps one way and hits another. Badass, his voice is annoying, but I'll forgive that.

Juggernaut - My favourite muscle bound goon, hes been in the genre for a long time now and the only thing that I am not happy with is his Super Move. I like the one he has when smashes across the screen, but is about time to give a new Super, how about 2 new supers? He deserves it.


That's it, I know awhile ago I did a list of who I like to see in the new marvel vs capcom game but this is different. A whole new game with 18 characters that i like to see tearing it up on the battle field just from the street fighter and marvel universe. I omitted the lizard this time around due to other characters I like to see more.

The more I see, the more I like. Rather than work today I think I will just play fighting games....well I can dream at least.

Team Fortress Multiplayer Rage

Most gamers do get frustrated with parts of their games and we all handle it differently. There are a ton of videos, fake and God knows what out there about people freaking out while playing games. My conclusion is if you get that upset over video games while playing with other people. You shouldn't play games at all. How is this fun for you, if I get this mad at something, than more than likely I don't want to be doing it.







These are the type of people that you kind of find funny on some level but over all just make the game not fun.

Brazil Finally gets the PS2. Wait?!.....What?

This kind of stuff just blows the mind. But the PS2 was finally launched in Brazil 9 months ago, Along with the PS3, so its a double win win, I think. I really don't know, this just makes my brain fart. But the biggest part of this news is, if you convert the cost of PS3 from Brazilian dollars to American,a PS3 cost ....wait for this..... $1180.00. It was suppose to $1500.00, but they reduced the price. And the cost of PS2 if $450.00.

Holy Moly!! Why?! Where is all this extra cost coming from? Taxes? Drug lord money?! (Sorry, I am stereotyping I know. To make it better you can ask how my Igloo up in Canadian is? Which I respond with,"Damn hard to keep it from melting in the summer"), I honestly don't know enough about Brazil to make a intellectual comment. Just that it boggles the mind. How much does milk and eggs cost in Brazil? can I equate it to that.?If I translate those cost, does that mean a 2L of milk cost $15? Please help me understand here!

Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4 Co-op Bug

Thought I put this up before I talked about the game itself. The most recent Lego Franchise has a glaring bug that I am amazed that the game testers didn't find this. It makes me wonder if its just limited to my copy or is this happening in other copies.
But working in the game industry myself I know that a glitch that you can make happen again and again goes from being a glitch to Bug. Which means someone didn't do their job on the testing side thing.

Me and Ian are giving Co-op a try, everything was going well until we got to a boss. At this point Ian's (second player) character turned into someone else and he couldn't control him. Instead his character was a mirror to mine, so if I pressed up, he would go up, etc.

I thought that this may be due to a boss fight and maybe it was suppose to be only one player. So after the boss fight the game went back to normal.


So we start the next level and we have 3 characters. Ron, Harry and Fang. Then we get to the point where you have to select the Dog, "Fang". Which is normal to do in single player but now, we can't change characters. Which means we can't progress any further in the level because we need to dog to access a part of the game that others can't reach.

At this point the Ian quits and tries to re-enter the game but can't. It won't register his button presses within the game. So then I restart the game and we try again. This time I exit, but can't get back in. So Ian exists aswell and now neither of us are controlling the characters. But Ian is able to get back in the game just fine.

What I see now is I am in control of the dog "Fang" but I am not registered in the icon. It still says."press start". So its me not registered and the second player that is registered and I am controlling the non registered character but I can't use any of his abilities.WTF??!!!

This is beyond a glitch and is no doubt a Bug, a big bug. It essential eliminates multiplayer Co-op which these games are known for. I mean it is beyond broken and from looking this up on the internet, this is NOT the only bug with this game. Apparently it is littered with bugs. But I must say that playing single player I have yet to come across any bugs. But the co-op is broken as Hell. Someone dropped the ball big time here with the latest installment of the Lego franchise.

Found some images that just didn't seem right, I wish I could have found more. But that requires more time to go look for them.

Madden 11 - What's Happening?

So Madden 11 was released recently and its all over the sites, podcast, etc. I recognize that it is a very popular game and sells well. But I have a few comments and question.

I don't understand Football, at all. I know what a pig skin is, I know there are line backers, quarter back, touchdown, field goal, tackle, fumble, Steelers, Dolphins, redskins, pirates, cowboys, interception, lasers, dinosaurs and of course Ninja zombies!. Ok, so some of those I made up, but you be hard pressed to pick those out!

In Canada, Football is not as popular has in America, Canada is a Hockey Country and I could tell you inside and out what that is all about. I'm not a sports fan by no means, but I do enjoy following the Stanley cup playoffs. So growing up with hockey on TV and playing hockey on the frozen ponds and road hockey. Its something that I have encountered here and there growing up, so there is that little hint of hockey/sports fan that is there. Not much..but its there a tiny weeny bit.
So I was wondering do I have to grow up with Football to like it? Because right now, I currently have no interest in Football on TV or in game form. But I was wondering if I knew the rules, would I like? Understanding how to play it, does it make it more enjoyable? But I understand how golf is played and I still don't like that, but I do enjoy Hotshots Golf series.

Even if I wanted to understand Football, Canada has there own league which has different rules then the NFL, so that just confuses me even more. But from what I understand from what I have read so far about Madden 11, it is made simpler for the average player. That does appeal to me, but I would like to try it to at least have an idea of what its about.

I played Fifa 10 for crying out loud and I enjoyed my brief time with that. It was straight forward and I knew what was happening. I kinda want that same experience from a NFL game. I will see if there is a demo I can try and come back with my thoughts.

I don't even know if the images I have up are off the madden 11, that's how ignorant I am of the game. This is not an attempt to shit on the game, I just don't know anything about it and want to expand my gaming knowledge.

Spoilers: Game Endings

Here are some endings to games that you may or have not seen.

X-men Arcade, the amount of quarters to finish this in the arcade would have been ridicules. This guy beats the game in under 10 min, but I'm sure this is a emulator which really doesn't do the game justice. I never understood Colossus power in this game. Skip to 8:30 to start ending.



Final Fantasy 1 for the NES,Good lord, 4 min of this?! I don't remember it being so boring.



Mega Man for the NES, I was pretty happy with the ending to this game. So much trial and error and daunting fights. It was glorious.



Sewer Shark for the Sega CD, this was my first game for the system. At the time I loved the game, looking back on it now. Well, I don't know what I was thinking.



Bubble Bobble for the NES, I loved this game. Its still great to pick up and play even today.



Tazmania for the Sega Genesis, yup you fight a giant gull at the end. Can't really say much beyond that.



Batman Returns for the NES. I can honestly say that I never beat this game. It was a frikken hard game. But again, most NES games were brutal.



Mortal Kombat 2 Ending for the SNES, this is what I liked about fighting games. Each character had its own ending. Granted, some fighting games had real lame endings, but for its time, this was ok.

Spiderman Shattered Dimension Costumes

So with all 4 worlds revealed in Shattered Dimension, they release images of alternate outfits that you can unlock within the game. The one that I really wanted to see was when Spidermans powers started to mutate and he turned into a walking spider. Its very different than all the other looks, makes him more animalistic than human.

Scarlet Spider
The clone of Peter Parker, apparently a embarrassing storyline in the 90's than disappointed many fans.

Iron Spider
Tony Stark made Spiderman a suit of armor with all neat little gadgets when Spiderman revealed his identity to the public during superhero registration.

Manga Spiderman
I've seen images of this guy, with spikes on his hands, are they for griping, does he have powers? I don't know. But his is one instance where Giant Eyes on something looks normal.

Negative Zone Spiderman
The opposite of Positive Zone Spiderman. I don't have a clue here, help yourselves to what ever story seems to fit.

Spider Armor
Not only can Peter Parker have remarkable powers. He is a great seamstress and blacksmith. He made this suit of armor (again in the 90s) because he was tired of dodging bullets. ;)

The Cosmic Spidermen
These next 4 costumes you can only get if you pe-order the game. Since I never heard of any of these Spidermen an they all look a little silly. It be safe to say that I won't be getting these. But I am getting this game second hand anyway, thanks to Activision.
