Microsoft Xbox 360 USB Drives

I have been reading for the past little while now that Microsoft will be creating its own USB drive so people can have their own personal mobile save point. Which sounds like a good enough idea.

Although the external only goes up to a maximum of 16Gigs which doesn't seem like a lot. But its better than 0 Gigs.

What doesn't make sense is the pricing. A 8 Gig will go for $39.99 and a 16 Gig will for $69.99.
????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Does this not strike anyone else has a strange marketing plo? I can get the same 16 Gig USB(depending on where I shop) between $30-$40.

The reasoning they say its that price is because it offers a hassle free plug and play. Where other USB may have to be configured so that your Xbox will recognize it.

This hassle that they are talking about is no hassle at at. For someone like myself who is Tech-retarded, I am still able to config a USB drive to the format needed. This isn't rocket science, infact this is the equivalent of changing a light bulb.

Its Microsoft taking advantage of naive consumers and raping them for everything they got. Now I am just going to sit back and wait for Sony to do something equally has stupid.

Little Big Planet DLC - PS3

I haven't played LBP in a while, but I always keep an eye out for FREE costumes.

I'm pretty sure you'll have to pay for those, but they are are awesome! And there will also be a building set.

You can play as Edna Mode! How Incredible ... *cough cough sorry* is that?

Fallout 3 : Quest =Time = Enjoyment??

So I have been playing the beast that is known has Fallout 3, Game of the Year Edition and I am no where near completion. I have 30+ hrs put into the game and I suspect there will be that many again multiplied by 2 before I have it completed. But because of my play style of I have do everything in the game.

The thing with this game is that it did not have me hooked outta the gate, I mean it was alright. But like a book that you read, if it doesn't hook you with the story in the beginning, then I find you have to force yourself through it until you do become interested in it. Not that the book is bad, it just starts really really slow. This is how I feel with Fallout 3, currently I am enjoying the heck outta this game at level 13.

But it wasn't up till level 8 that I could give a rats ass. Everything before that was a mundane experience, I didn't care about the quest or story. I think there was too much thrown at you from the start that I felt like it was all over the place. No real start with no real objective besides, "Here are 20 quest. go explore".

So the start of the game was very hard to get into and it felt more like a chore than fun. But after I spent more time in the world and started to knit pick the side quest away, then it started to become enjoyable. I stayed away from talking to people along the way, I stayed away from towns that were in my path on a way to a mission so I didn't get more quest on top of the one I was currently doing. I mean every time you encounter something it was either, Side Quest or kill it!

I don't need 15 side quest thrown at me within the first 30 min of play, its overwhelming and like a kid in the candy store I don't know what to choose first. But now that I have put in the time and gotten rid of all my side quest I can now focus on the main quest. I don't picking up a side quest or two or three on the way, but at that point I have to stop what I am doing and get them outta the way.
But all this time that I am spending on side quest took me to level 8, after that I started doing the main quest and that's when the game became fun. So now that I have uncovered some story and some sense of a main path to follow, I am really really enjoying Fallout 3. But the start of the game and the time required to get there is horrible. If I was someone who just said, "this is no fun" and turned it off based off the first 15 hrs, then I be losing out on a good game.

I heard that Final Fantasy 13 has the same thing, where it takes 25 hrs before the game really opens up to the player. So does RPG's have to drag you through the mud face first for 15-20 hrs before they become fun? I haven't played a RPG in a while, so perhaps this is the new formula?!

Point being, lots of hrs, enjoying it now, took too long before the game became enjoyable.

Kotaku Say............

I thought this was pretty interesting. Kotaku polled 20,000 readers about video games. These were some of the results. How much is actually hard facts, is up to the readers to decide.

Resident Evil 5 : Gold Edition - To Buy or NOT to Buy?

Currently am playing a couple games on Co-op/split screen, one being Damnation with Ian and the other Gears of War 2 with Matt. Both of which I will talk more about more once they are finished. But overall, good or bad game, playing co-op with a friend is a much more enjoyable experience than playing alone.

You get to experience all the weird glitches ,all the cool," Holy crap, look what just happened" moments. A game that otherwise is either not good, or doesn't interest you on its own. Now all of a sudden IS interesting when viewed has a co-op experience.

Its really only in the past year that I really started the whole co-op game play. I mean the old Nintendo games had their 2 player games, Contra being one of the most popular ones, but with the depth that today's game have and the strategy that can be implemented, it really adds a whole new perspective on gameplay.

So with that, Resident Evil 5 when I first played the demo, made me want to shoot the TV screen ,now seems like a good idea if played with a friend. I mean the controls would take some getting used too. But I bet to go through the entire game in co-op would be a blast, awkward controls and all.

So with this new found love of playing in co-op, I have been debating getting the Resident Evil 5 game. If I do then I probable get the Gold Edition which contains all the DLC up till now, extra outfits, levels, etc for the price of $49.99. That's a good deal. But I just don't know whats holding me back from going, Yup, I'm getting this.

Cooking with Scorpion

This is ...I don't know what this is, Its something.

Announced Nintendo 3D-DS

Nintendo has cryptically announced a successor to the DS, that apparently will be 3D, but not require the glasses.

I can't wrap my head about how this would work, but it seems like it COULD be interesting.

Anyway, here's a video that shows what it MIGHT be like?
I thought it looked interesting. Although I don't know how that could be implemented is fast action games.

We'll see, I guess. Nintendo is supposed to reveal something at the next E3.

Ghostbusters Interview on the C64

This is hilarious, one of the worst games ever on the NES and these guys are loving it. Does it surprise you that Activision is in on this piece of shit.

Red Dead Redemption

The official cover art was released today...

I'm not too thrilled about it. They have produced much better illustration materials.
The composition seems odd to me.

Red Dead Redemption - Official Cover Art Revealed

Air Fortress - NES

I've said this before on Pacroid and I will continue to say it, "This is what happens when you let your parents pick out your video games".

Has a kid you want to be surprised, but you also want to have the things you like. I didn't grow up a rich kid or even middle class, so I was appreciative of everything that I had. I may not have wanted it, or liked it. But I was glad to have it none the less. Air Fortress is one of those games.

I wanted to be surprised and not know what game I was getting so I didn't tell my parents what I wanted for Christmas, I just said, "Surprise me". Well when you do that, I guess they take into consideration what I already have shown interest in.

Mom,"Well he likes starwars"

Dad, "He likes transformers"

Parents,' Well this game with space ships and robots in it is the perfect game!!! We are the best parents ever!!"

ahhhh, they mean well!! But I honestly didn't know what to think when I opened this up. I never heard or seen this game before and I considered myself a bit of a gamer kid. I read the magazines, watched the half hour tv gaming show, so I had no idea what this was about.

So unlike other Christmas's where I glady played my games all day, I popped this into the NES and about after an hr I turned it off.

I didn't like this game at all, there was nothing about it that stood out or was fun(at the time). I honestly left the game for the rest of day and went about doing other things. I think its was 2 days later that I did go back to it and said," I can do this, this game isn't that bad" So I went into little kid game mode and died and tried again, died and tried again, until I got to the final stage.

Ever level was the same has the last except more mazes and more things shooting at you. I remember there was a time limit or energy bar once you got to certain areas. It was this time limit that killed me, not because of enemies, I was doing a good job of killing things. I just kept dieing because I didn't know where to go next, I end up getting lost and dieing.

That coupled with having to start all over again, I never finished the last stage. It was too frustrating and the game play wasn't fun. Looking back on it now, I feel a fondess towards it, something that I like to go back and try again, if not just to get mad at it all over again. Perhaps I was a stupid kid and didn't know what I was doing, its all possible.

Here is a Map of one of the levels, you can see, it was a pretty easy to get lost and with a time limit to make it through, god I hate time trials. Perhaps this is where it all stems from?!!

Red Dead Redemption

With each new screen and trailer put out, this games makes me want to have it more and more.

It's even making me think about pre-ordering, damnit!

If nothing else, it looks so GORGEOUS! I just want to ride in it. I don't specifically care about shooting things.... although that is fun too. It's me getting shot I'm not too keen on.

It's release date having been pushed back pains me greatly.

LOTR - War for the North

The last LOTR game I played, excluding demos was the very first game for the PS2, it was very dull, not very good at all. The demos that I played of other games all seemed like a newer version of that exact type of game play. Not good enough for me to go, "Now that's how it should be".
Because this trailer gives no idea of gameplay, all I can say is the trailer looks cool and I am always intrigued by the LOTR games but almost always end up being disappointed.

Natal or Move?

Personally I won't be getting either of them, I think they are just has much a gimmick today has the super scope was for the SNES.

But if I had to pick one of them, I choose Natal. There just something really cool about being able to move things around on the screen using your hands, just like in the movie Minority Report. I don't know how it would apply to playing a regular game such has Mass Effect but for navigating menus and mini games, the Natal device just interest me more.

The Move just seems like more of the Wii but in HD, both of these are just not for me. But if I have to choose, I pick Natal.

My 11th Platinum Trophy - Battlefield Bad Company 2

So I was playing has normal and then reached rank 23, with that my multiplayer elite trophy unlocked. Whoo hooo!!! I was just glad it unlocked, after posting on some forums I started getting some responses. Such has other people also encountering the bug but the situation resolving itself up rank 25. So most of it, is keep playing and something will trigger it to unlock when you level up.

Got to give a big thanks to my Great cousin, Mike, who helped me get the knife 5 friends trophy and some of my demolition kills. The demolition kills are not impossible to get in regular play. I managed to get 12 myself and the other 8 with the help of my cousin.

Overall, there weren't any crazy hard trophies. The single player campaign trophies were a joke, you could get them all on a single play through if you are really hardcore. And the multiplayer ones are fun and entertaining, just the way I like it. So with that I now have 11 platinum's.

Mulitplayer Elite Trophy Doesn't Unlock

So I am going for my 11th Platinum trophy with Battlefield Bad Company 2. There are a couple of trophies that are a pains in the ass and the only way around them is just to play alot or get them boosted.

So I am only 2 trophies away, one is get 20 demolition kills, which so far I have gotten 6 kills. The other is reach Rank 22 Warrant Officer 1. Well last night I reached rank 22 and the trophy didn't unlock. So I exited the game and re-enter and try again, no luck.

So I have another friend on my list who also plays battlefield and he is at a higher rank then me. So I go check his trophy list and his isn't unlocked either. I then go online to do a search to see if this is a common problem and I couldn't find not one piece of info. Has far has the Internet is concerned, me and my friend are the only 2 people with this happening too.

The other thing I noticed was on the leader boards it has me at Rank 23, which I am not. This all doesn't make sense. But of course this kind of thing happens to me all the time, I often wonder that if there is a person like me who has the rare shitty thing happen too and no one can explain then there is someone else in the world who is having the rare good thing happen too?

It really shits balls, is there a glitch, will it unlock on its own? Is the trophy wrong and I have to reach level something else? I put in a couple questions on forums, but rarely do I get response, its always some dude asking some unrelated question, "How do I get friends to join my match?"
How about reading the manual?

Anywho, I hope this problem fixes itself somehow, it would suck to be this far and have some fucked up glitched trophy. I worked hard for that.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 - Online

Haven't posted in awhile due to being sick with the flu. So I have been playing some online with battlefield BC2.Also this will be the second time I wrote this because I am an idiot and closed the window by accident.

In playing online I have noticed some things that stand out that may help the new player. So here are some helpful hints and tips.

First off, there are some glitches in the online play. Such has getting stuck on rocks, trees, corners - Clipping is what the game worlds call it. But trying to do a quick turn around only to get stuck on a corner can mean the difference between death and getting away.

There were 2 instances where I tried to go up stairs but instead I just walked through them. Another time a teammate spawned on my position and ended up inside a steel tower, stuck. After awhile he did get out, but from my view point he was glitching out like crazy.

There are glitches in the game, not alot. But when they do happen, it sucks. There's nothing you can do about it, but they did have foresight with this and gave us a suicide button if you do indeed get super stuck.

Coming out on top. This does not mean getting the most kills in the game, it means playing to the strengths of your class. Such has playing the medic, you get points from healing and reviving teammates. But you can increase your score even further by adding perks that compliment the class. For the medic such perks that increase the range and effectiveness of the med kits. So a single med kits thrown into area with all the perks can heal teammates from quite some distance and double the healing rate. Which results in a higher score.

If all you are doing is just running and shooting then don't expect to come out on top. If you are the engineer, then drop mines for tanks. If you are the sniper, throw up proximity mines, the assault class, then drop ammo kits. All the while do enemy spots for kill assist for all classes, jump on the missile launcher to take out a tank if you are near it.Play smart and play your class and you will come out on top. Also if you just want to goof around and are not worrying about points then that is also fun.

Then of course there's the assholes. You can only hear people on your squad, up to 4 people. So some guy on your team screaming at opposite team while not communicating to his own teammates. Makes me wonder why he even put a mic on. He's wearing a mic, but isn't talking to his teammates, but I guess he wants us to hear him screaming and cursing??! I don't know, doesn't make any sense to me. But if your squad is talking, then it makes doing objectives that much easier.

Overall, it is a pretty fun game and even more fun with friends.

Batman : Arkham Asylum - PS3

Lots of spoilers in here and rantings. You've been warned.

Darryl has already given his experience on the game here a while ago.

From the start I wasn't really attracted to this game. I like that universe, but from the early character designs I had seen, it didn't appeal to me. I prefer the wackier aspect of those characters as opposed to trying to make it real and gritty. I have to say I don't care much for the Dark Knight movies. I will explain my "problems" with the game later. Still, hearing tons of good things about it, I figured I'd borrow it from Darry l and give it a try.

I have to admit, I REALLY loved the gameplay and the game. All the different aspects of it flow easily from one to the other and no matter how many times I did it, grappling up to a ledge and zipping to it game me a tingle of thrill.

The animations are fantasticly smooth and flowing and the combat was beautiful, even for someone combo-challenged as me. The game was a blast to play through and I loved finding the hidden audio tapes and Riddler clues.

Batman: Arkham Asylum Screenshot

My gripes with this game are mostly visual. An area where I found that balance wasn't achieved was in the bat-vision. Wanting to find as much as possible, I almost constantly stayed in it. Which made me feel that I was missing out on a view of the game. You can switch from one to the other at will, but for PRACTICAL reasons, why would you? It made me feel like it was so easy to ignore the real world. Which is a shame because most of it looks really good. A little bit too much black and monochrome for my taste, but still gorgeous.

Now, I have to state that I know this isn't the real world, so some suspension of belief is necessary and expected.

But what really took me aback was the decrepit look of Arkham. Just from a health issue standpoint, that such disregard for hygene and common sense not only for the inmates, but for the staff working there was too staggering for me to accept it. If pieces of the building were falling around me in my place of work, I wouldn't work there. I can't imagine the diseases and the mold that would proliferate in there. No wonder so many of the doctors wind up going insane themselves!!

It was pointed out to me that many early asylums were indeed in those conditions. Which is appalling but I believe. I think though that it is unacceptable from a design standpoint that the "public" areas of Arkham are in this state. It would have been a nice shock if you went from a pristine front and entered the true dilapidated Arkham. The impact would have been just the much better in my opinion.

Batman: Arkham Asylum Screenshot

The tapes were fun, except for the Harley Quinzel ones. She already sounded crazy before she went nuts. She wasn't believable to me as a pre-Joker doctor.

I kept expecting the Warden to have a hidden agenda. The story made a big deal out of his running for election. I don't know, I thought it would lead somewhere but it didn't.

I really hated the female vilain visual treatment in this game.
Harley Quinn's boob-jiggle was mesmerizing and excessive at the slightest movement.
Poison Ivy's pre-escape outfit is RIDICULOUS. Why would a jail ALLOW any of it's inmates to customize their clothes. Or lack of clothes, in her case. I'm glad that they saw fit to give her a barely closing Arkham shirt and allowed her to go pant-less.

Batman: Arkham Asylum Screenshot

But looking aside those issuet's still my 2nd favorite game of 2009, after Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. But it came very close second.

Haken - The 10th Super Street Fighter 4 Character

So this is the 10th new character for the Street Fighter 4 series. I don't know what they were smoking when they thought of this guy. I'll give them A++ for originality, that's forsure!!

Battlefield Bad Company 2 - PS3

I won't bore you with all the critic details about the story, controls, playability, etc. If you want to hear about that, then I suggest you go to a gaming website or gaming magazine. What you will hear from all of them is this, "its a good game!"

I don't have any disagreements with them. This is a kick ass FPS. What I will talk about is my own experience with the game and a still on going multiplayer experience.

The single player campaign is good, not great, but good enough. If I paid full price just for the single player campaign then I would have been greatly disappointed. In my opinion, Killzone 2 single player campaign is one of the best out there. On the hardest setting with Killzone, you got to pick your shots and move ahead with caution. With BFBC2 on the hardest setting, I went through it in a breeze. Still good, but there are better ones out there.

Spoiler: At some point in the game you get to play a level where you are racing on ATV's and they make it kind of a race. One of your team mates says," If this was snowmobiles, I could kick your ass,". Which the other guys says,"Snowmobiles are for sissys". I am thinking that this is a stab at Modern Warfare 2 and its snowmobile level. I got a chuckle outta that, but I grew up on snow mobiles and I assure you, they arn't for sissy's. End Spoiler.

The money is all in the multiplayer. It is here where the meat of the game is. A great and long leveling up system with 4 different classes. They are assault, engineer, recon and the medic. Each with its own special set of weapons and perks. I played all the classes and decided to start with the Engineer first. He just doesn't have a strong selection from the start, after you level him up he gets some pretty kick ass weaponry.

By far the most annoying friggen class in the game is recon(sniper). If you are playing a level where 4-5 people are playing has snipers on the other team and its a open level. It makes your life a living hell. Even more so when they get the ability to sit on a mountain across the level and zoom in on a position and call in mortar strikes.

The most satisfying experience was myself getting killed 8 times in a row by frikken snipers. Then I finally make it past and behind their lines. I get on top of the roof where all 3 of those fuckers were lazily sitting up there and knife them all in the back of the head. THAT ALONE was worth getting shot over and over again.

And has disturbing has that may sound, its those type of scenarios that make Battlefield bad company 2 enjoyable. Playing with friends in a squad is a whole different game again. A team of 4 are able to run the battlefield if you have 4 people talking to each other and the exact opposite if your playing on a team where people arn't talking. More often than not, that team will lose. A little communication goes along way.

I've done the single player campaign on hard and got to Rank 11 on multiplayer out of 22. I am still enjoying the game and its even more fun with friends. I play has much has I can and I recommend that if you play online that you play with friends in a squad. The most fun you can have on a video game this year with friends.

Price Breakdown on Physical Games

This isn't new news, but I thought it was very interesting and if anyone reads this blog and likes playing video games, its something that they should carry with them in future game purchases.

For example, you buy a game at Future Shop, EB, Best Buy etc, the base price which they sell it for would be $60. Depending on which country you are from, taxes may vary. For Canada a $59.99 game comes to $80 with taxes.

So right away, $20 bucks go to the Canadian Government.

The retailer takes $15 cut, plus a 7$ fee for returns.

Distribution and Packaging is $4. So to get it from the warehouse to your shelf.

Royalty fees that go to Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo takes a $7 cut.

Finally $27 goes to the Publisher.

So the day that they hope everything goes digital distribution, I hope they they take into consideration and apply the appropriate cost cut. So if that is the case then most games that we buy online today should only cost us 38$. I mean the $4 distribution fee would still be included but we can take out the the $22 bucks from retail.

Just because I don't know and haven't checked, if I was to buy Battlefield 2 Bad Company online has digital downloads or Bioshock 2, are these games priced at $38 or $39.99? or are they selling them for $49.99. If that is the case then they are just shitting on the consumer and stuffing their pockets with a 31% increase in profit. I will gladly pay the extra $10 bucks for a $59.99 game so I could have the hardcopy that I could resell later and get profit back.

Heavy Rain - PS3 - Spoiler free

At first, I thought I was going to wait until I got it, but hearing good things about it and being slyfully confronted to it in the store by Darryl, I broke down and bought it on impulse.

And I didn't regret it! I had a blast paying it.

Many reviews have already been put out and describe the game well.

I will describe what I got most out of the experience, because I can't describe it as anything less then an experience.

It's unlike anything I've ever played before. The lack of saving possibility makes all your decisions so final, that in some cases I was deeply affected when I knew I had made a rash panicked decision that I should not have done. Like getting the Blunder trophy for doing something, which seems obvious that I could have done differently. Knowing that you can't go back makes things you do important towards the final goal.

There were a couple of instances where I was sure that I had messed up and that my characters were dead. And this was seriously upsetting. You become very emotionally involved with them.

Heavy Rain Screenshot

The story is interesting and slowly presented to us in growing tidbits that form together for us as well as for the characters. When the twist came, I stood slack-jawed as I performed the actions, without being able to control but witnessing something horrible of which I was taking an "active" part in. I felt disgusted after that and couldn't get to sleep that night.

Fights and chase sequences would leave me panting and in sweat. Partly because of the intensity of them, partly because when you need to shake the controller which is exerting.

Heavy Rain Screenshot

One small technical detail that did bug me during the game (apart from still the same ones in my review of the demo) is that sometimes, the action icons are hard to see, particularly if the character is far away. And what's more, the square icon looks similar to the circle one, and I picked actions I didn't want to do a couple of times because of that confusion.

The game is rightfully rated M because in addition to all the violence, both physical and emotional, there is a couple of nudie scenes. A couple of butt shots (male and female), some cleverly concealed naughty bits and a gratuitous feeling female shower scene.

The game comes to an adequate conclusion, at least the one I got. All my characters lived through to the end (some a little bruised and battered).
I will try and play the game again, this time deliberately doing dumb actions, just to see what happens.

Yup, Your Messed in the Head!

This is just wrong, wrong. What makes it even worse are the people who comment on this. One of my favorites was, "The list was good, what what was Big Sister doing on there".

Really??! REALLY!? Is this the thought going through your head,"Well I can really see myself fucking all those hot women, but the BIG SISTER, hahaha, that's just absurb. Shes mostly metal".

Go dig a hole , get in that hole and become king of hole land.

Prince of Persia movie

While not STRICTLY a video game, this is based off of my favorite game of all time.
The preview has me really excited and I have high hopes for the flick!

Everything LOOKS right. Now I hope they GET IT right, considering the history of movies based off video games.

Antics in Fable 2 - Bad Sucks

So I finished Fable 2 playing the whole game has evil. Which was fun in the beginning, but once I started to really get into the story. I felt morally obligated to do the right thing and it took everything in me to kill/break/steal. Everything in me was shouting, "This is Wrong". Its just a game, how can it be wrong?!

I had a couple of slips with doing good things but rectified it quickly by sacrificing 4 wives at once, or trying to anyway. With the end of the game, (Spoiler Alert - They kill my family, which I was going to do anyway at some point, they kill my dog. My DOG!!, no, this was the only thing that I was nice too, this really wanted me to kill the evil guy, good or bad ending. But after you do all that you are giving 3 choices. Choose to bring back all the people in the spire while sacrificing your family. Or bring back your family and your DOG!!! but all the people in the spire stay dead. Or screw everyone and take the money and bring nobody back to life.

Because I am evil ,I choose to take the money, but by god. Did I every feel bad, I missed my dog, I wanted my dog back. For one, I can't finish my archeology missions because I don't know where to dig. End Spoiler)

I finished the game and didn't feel any satisfaction out of it at all. I mean I enjoyed the game, but the overall ending and finality of it just didn't sit right with me. I have played games like this before, play either bad or good and I usually play good and if it was good enough, go back and play has evil. Most of the time on the second play through it wasn't has fun even with the ability to kill what ever I wanted.

So what this has made me realize is that I enjoy playing has good. I get more out of a game by doing good things than by being a complete ass. So from here on, I here by say, "I will only play has GOOOOOD". Unless the game is really good and I will go back and play it has evil. Its not real after all.

ERROR 8001050F

Well, it seems that everything is back to normal.

It doesn't look like I've lost anything. So I could blissfully return to play a bit of Heavy Rain.

AND OMG!!!!

But this will be for another post, under heavy spoiler warnings.

GOW 3 vs Darksiders DEMO

So I downloaded the Darksiders and God of War 3 demos and I wanted to test something out.
I wanted to see if people were unfairly judging Darksiders by comparing it to GOW 3 and its short comings.

So I would play GOW3 demo first and then go to Darksiders and see if I could feel a difference. Well GOW3 is a no brainer, it was fun to play but didn't feel like anything new that I have played from the series. Which isn't a bad thing, the series is fantastic and I would gladly play any story from the GOW series. Although it was short it was satisfying enough, but unlike other demos, this didn't make me go, "I HAVE TO GET THIS GAME". Its a God of War game, great controls, great graphics and fun to play.

Then I dove into Darksiders, kinda hoping that the game play was just has good has GOW3 and everyone was just nit picking with frivolous bickering about how its not GOW. But I would be disappointed, I wanted it to be just has good, I wanted it to be has fun or "funner" than GOW. But it wasn't, not by a long shot.

Although you can control the camera in this one, it feels like its all over the place, but its just me zeroing in on enemies, there is a lock on feature but when you get more than one enemy on the screen at a time, this becomes useless.

This Demo is LOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGG. Twice in the demo I got stuck in places where I didn't know where to go next, what do I do now? Do I have to go back all the way through the castle again? did I miss something? WHaT The HelL?!!!! A demo shouldn't make the person want to just give up and say screw this. But that's exactly what this demo made me want to do. I did go all the way through it and it took me a little over an hr.

It has way too many stupid things happening. It has the stupid delay jump, run to a edge and get as close has you can before you tap jump. But there is a delay, so I end up just running off the edge. So many glitches, twice I got in areas that I wasn't suppose to have gotten by glitching my way in. Once I was stuck in a area I couldn't get out, so I had to start over. That is unacceptable and poor game testing. And no I wasn't trying to do some weird no normal person would do that thing. I was in area that I didn't know where to go and I was trying all the jumps and grabs to see where I did need to go.

As much has I wanted the game to be has good has GOW3, its not. Its not even in the same ballpark. These 2 demos confirmed 2 things, GOW3 was fun and felt like a GOW game. Darksiders is what you buy people who you don't like.

Well ... poop on a cracker!!

Yesterday afternoon, I went to turn on my PS3 to play a bit of Heavy Rain and got a message that the trophies couldn't sync up and that I would be kicked off ....

Odd. But I have had some problems in the past with my router, so I figured it might just need to be reset. I did, hoping that would fix it.

The problem was still there. Couldn't get into the game AT ALL. It wouldn't even go to the game's loading screen.

So, a little nervous, I put in another game to try it out. The game did start, but wold be interrupted by constant pop-up messages stating that an error had occured and taking me back to the game's main menu.

As this was a problem with internet connectivity, I went to the network connections and disables my link. The problem was still there. And it still was when I tried it this morning. It's not a connection issue, because I can still connect to the internet, even from the PS3.

Searching around, I found out that a LOT of people got the same problem yesterday. The issue seems to be with the old big PS3s. The Slims are apparently unaffected. Some kind of internal clock resetting issue and PSN connection .... I don't know.

I found some articles online and Sony is apparently working on it, but without any clear indication of when this will be fixed. Here's one article I found.

This sucks.
